Happy Friday! I wonder how many of you are out (or were out!) snatching up those Black Friday deals… I was too full from my Thanksgiving meal to even consider it. We celebrated ‘Turkey under the Big Top’ this year – a really fun (albeit a little crazy since we live in Vermont…) outdoor Thanksgiving under a tent –

Lots of fun with fabulous family and friends, great food, and even a little dancing at the end in an attempt to work off the meal!

I’m hoping it becomes the new Thanksgiving tradition! (a huge thanks to everyone who worked so hard to organize it!)

Nido – a new online shop and a giveaway!

I have a little giveaway for you today, courtesy of a new online shop! I know you’ve all heard me mention my favorite local fabric & yarn shop in Burlington, Nido. And now you can experience a little of Nido yourselves, since the owner, Phiona, has just set up an online shop. You won’t get to hang out and chat like I do, but you will have a chance to shop for some great fabrics!

Nido carries a great selection, including many of your favorite designers – Heather Ross, Denyse Schmidt, Anna Maria Horner, Etsuko Furuya, Nani Iro (to name just a few!) as well as lots of corresponding Kona solids. (They also carry lots of yarn, but since I don’t know much about yarn, I can’t tell you much about that portion of the store!) Modern Relief fundraiser

{ Modern } Relief is a simple concept. We are Modern Quilters uniting through the holiday season by bringing the warmth of our quilts and the warmth of your hearts together for others in need.
