This little baby quilt is made up out of fun prints from the most recent line from Monaluna, Taali. This is another color combo I might not have considered, but I love it! I think it’s bright and cheery, and wonderfully appropriate for either a boy or girl (and who can resist those cute sheep?!)
I went smaller in size on this one, in the hopes that the smaller size will mean I’ll actually get a chance to quilt it! (I have quite the stack going of quilts that need quilting… so many in fact that I finally decided to send one out to be quilted. It’ll be the first time I’ve sent one to be quilted, so I’m kind of excited!) Anyway, yesterday I managed to finish the backing, so now I’ll just be waiting for a long nap from Max to get a start on the quilting!
This turned out awesome.I to have yet to send a quilt out. Thinking that swoon will be my first one ๐
How lovely – loves the danish flag “Dannebrog” (red with a white cross) ๐
Love this, Ashley!
Man, I thought for sure having a baby would slow you down, but you are still a powerhouse! I don’t know how you do it! This is awfully cute, and I love the sheep.
Love it with all it’s wonkiness! The sheep are just too cute!
Wow, I really like this one. A LOT.
This is super cute! I just sent to gift quilts out over the holidays for quilting. It was scary, but they turned out so so awesome. I will definitely be sending more quilts out in the future.
I love this line, I just ordered some for a quilt for my friend, who has been very helpful in my getting my shop open. She has sheep and is a wool fanatic!! Great job on the quilt!

Here’s hoping Max sleeps a long, long time!
so, how exactly do you get this done with a baby around? i have a 3 month old and every time i *think* about getting some sewing done, he wakes up! any tips?
“Baaaa!” (That means “I love it!” in sheep. I’m adding this to my list of Must Do projects. Way cool!
So cute! The improv piecing gives it some wiggly movement. I’m a fan!
Love this one! ๐
The top looks great! I like how you reversed the background color in a few of the blocks. I can’t wait to see how you quilt it. Here’s to a long nap time, Max!
Some of my friends prefer the smaller baby quilts because they are ‘car seat size’.
Wonderful as usual.
I love it!!
I have been thinking of making a wonky plus quilt and now I know I definitely will!!
Thanks for sharing.
Always fun to see what you are up too – love the “plus” quilt – thanks for all your energy bursts of inspirations!
I’ve been loving cross quilts lately, yours is beautiful!
Might there be a tutorial on the little cross quilt – it is fabulous!!
LOVE this! Yes a tutorial or PDF would be awesome. Your creativity is inspiring.
