Hello! Today I want to take a minute to introduce two new sponsors to the site. I love learning the origin of shop names, so I asked Brooke how they came up with the name Lady Belle. Here’s what she had to say – “We named our store, Lady Belle after our Alaskan malamute, Lady. Lady passed away June 7th from a heart tumor. It was very sudden and luckily she didn’t suffer.  It has been the most heart breaking thing I have ever been through, I loved Lady so much. She was the most beautiful dog, and she knew she was beautiful. She was super sassy, full of personality and was even a bit of a drama queen. When we were thinking of a name for our shop I kept coming back to Lady. Here I was wanting to sell the world gorgeous fabric – I was wanting to sell a beautiful moment. You know the moment, when the fabric comes together, the ideas of the pattern all click, and the project starts coming to life.

Most quilts are gifts to others, an heirloom of love, hard work and beauty. Those are things which Lady is to me. She left a beautiful moment on my heart. What better way to show others how much I care about their fabric choices then to name my store after the girl I loved so dearly. I also wanted a bit of “southern,” in it, since we are located in Tennessee. Belle is a pretty southern term and means beauty.

My friend designed our logo with Lady sitting on the fabric, because that is what she always did. She sat on things she shouldn’t have, and ran through carefully laid out quilt designs.”

Rob and Brooke offer free shipping on orders over $150, and charge just $5.75 for other orders. They do their best to ship the same day, so be sure to check our their shop!

I’d also like to welcome Stitched, a local shop I’ve been frequenting for several years now. Stitched is located just outside of Burlington, so if you’re visiting the area, be sure to check them out! Their shop is filled with a great variety of fabrics (including a great selection of fat quarters, sorted by color), books, notions. In addition, they sell and service Berninas and offer a wide range of classes. They’ve also now started selling some of their fabrics online, and will continue to add new products there.

And a tip for some of you, ahem, fabric collectors, Stitched is a great place to check for some of those harder to find prints. They usually have a good selection of Tula Pink prints, and even a couple past Heather Ross prints.
