fabrics for a new quilt

It’s been a while since I’ve remembered to snap a photo of my fabric stack prior to starting a quilt! This one started out with that great Alexander Henry Dasha floral print, which is unfortunately out of print now. Originally I thought I’d stick with solids to complement that print, but as I continued to look at my stash, I kept finding other great prints that seemed to need to join this group…

From the top –

Lecien Woodland
Lizzy House Stripe (from Red Letter Day)
Denyse Schmidt Chicopee
Denyse Schmidt (for JoAnns?)

I was just wondering…when you are making a twin-sized bed quilt what amount of fabrics do you purchase. The choices for your new quilt are incredible… one yard each or more?

The hardest part about making a quilt is trying to eliminate some of your favorite fabrics. Love your selection.
