Remember I said I wanted to make a dress to wear to a picnic this weekend? I suppose I was thinking that I had more time, forgetting that it was already Wednesday when I decided to make this dress. I did manage to buy the fabric – Amy Butler Full Moon Polka Dot in Slate – though that was as far as I got.
Yesterday I realized that I had better get working if I wanted to have it done in time. I looked at a few old patterns, but since I’ve never used one, it made me more confused than ever. All those lines and dots and dotted lines… no clue!
I opted for a very basic dress – sleeveless, v neck, straight cut – I cut the two main pieces for the body, and luckily, it looks like it will fit.
I have the rest of tonight and early tomorrow morning to finish it up… keep your fingers crossed for me!
