handmade outdoor pillows

I made these pillows recently to add a little color to our deck. I bought the fabric at Joanns – it’s a heavy, outdoor type fabric, and they happened to have several different colors of the same print. I happened to have many similar sized pillow inserts already, just waiting for some good fabric to be covered with. A perfect match, I’d say!

I like to dress the deck up on sunny days. Even when I can’t be out there, it’s nice to catch a glimpse of this cheerful scene. The tablecloth is one I made out of some Robert Kaufmann bamboo fabric (love the lemon yellow!) with some fun turquoise rick rack that I picked up at a yard sale.

I’m working on a new set of napkins, and I’m thinking about altering a pair of pants. Good fun. If all goes well, I’ll have photos to share soon!
