Happy Friday! I have a great giveaway for you today from Deborah of Whipstitch Fabrics — a spot in her new quilting e-course and a fat quarter bundle of Vintage Modern! Read on!
Deborah has been teaching a successful quilting course at her shop for two years and is now making it available online as an e-course. This course is a four week online class which teaches the foundational skills of quilting using daily lessons, audio and video, lots of images and downloads that you can refer to later. Plus, you’ll have the opportunity to receive feedback on your sewing during two live chats.
Over the course of the four weeks, you’ll learn all the important techniques and core skills of quilting and at the same time you’ll have a chance to make up 10 quilt blocks that you’ll be able to turn into a modern sampler.
You might wonder if this course is only appropriate for beginner quilters. Deborah emphasizes that it definitely is not – the skills range well into intermediate, even advanced as you learn about y seams in the tumbling blocks and sewing curves for the drunkard’s path block. You might check out the class description for full information on what techniques will be taught. I really think anyone who quilts or has interest in quilting would benefit from this course!
The course starts June 4th with daily lessons during the week for 4 weeks. Now how would you like to win a spot? Just leave a comment here (one per person, please!) for a chance to win a space in this great class. In addition, the winner will receive a fat quarter bundle of Bonnie & Camille’s gorgeous new line, Vintage Modern. If you’d like, let me know what quilting skill you’d like to learn and/or improve. I’ll select a winner sometime Sunday evening. Happy weekend!!
Comments are now closed! Thanks to all who entered. I’ll select and post the winner shortly.
I want to learn more quilting, especially new blocks and Vintage Modern is such a pretty fabric!
I stumbled across your page as I am new to quilting…. wow…this is the inspiration I am looking for; fresh, original, quirky, funky and fabulous quits.
Exciting giveaway! I want to learn paper piecing.
Wow, what an amazing giveaway! Actually, I’m a beginner quilter, so I’d like to learn … everything!
I don’t often comment on giveaway posts, but this I both need and want! *fingers crossed*
This sounds like a great opportunity!
The skill I need to work on is finishing one project before starting two more, haha! No seriously, I love the patchwork part but my actual quilting could use some work.
I am a new quilter (so far I made potholders, placemats and now I’m working on my first crib-sized quilt). Everything I know how to do I learned online via tutorials and youtube videos. I would love to take a class to make sure I’m not missing any necessary skills. Plus, I love, love, love Vintage Modern.
Thanks so much for this giveaway.
I would love to learn how to sew curves!
You had me at Y seams. Seriously, I have a few quilts under my belt, by I still very much consider myself a beginner. This class sounds great! And I love the houndstooth pattern in this fabric line.
Hi,what a great giveaway. I really need help with curved piecing, my seam ripper is overworked when I try drunkards path and I really want to do more curves.
I would love to learn more about about Y seams, and I would love tips on binding and basting.
I’d like to learn more to do with curves, and I love Vintage Modern!
Like Bethany, I’ve learned everything so far from library books and YouTube; thank you for the opportunity to win a spot in this course 😉 My sister would love ANYthing made from Vintage Modern!!! -Douglas
great chance to improve my skills
I am a self-taught quilter, so I am sure there are many things I need to know. I’d really like to learn how to do curved piecing because I’ve tried it without success.
Sounds great! I am only just starting so I would love to learn more about everything!!
Wow a great way to finally improve my skills!
I’ll learn anything new! I’ve just recently started quilting and am loving it!
I’d like to learn how to achieve better piecing accuracy. And vintage modern…so lovely! Thanks for the giveaway!
Although I have been exposed to quilting most of my life, I only truly got into it this past Fall. I learn something new all the time and would love the chance to participate in this online class. Sewing diamonds, drunken path, and bindings are skills I would love to learn to do well.
Oh I want both of the quite badly!! I am a beginning quilter and would love to just improve my overall skills.
oh how i love a houndstooth! These classes are a great thing. I just started quilting last year and have learned by just winging it. I’d love some new skills…like sewing curves!
I have been quilting a little over a year and have not really taken a class. I would love to hear everything from the basics to more advanced techniques as I know there is a lot I could learn that would improve my skills.
THIS looks like a fun activity. I love taking classes but have not done one on line YET. Love the fabrics. I am getting into the MODERN QUILTING movement. So fresh and invigorating.

Beautiful fabric!
I would LOVE a spot in this workshop! I am a fairly new quilter who is a little nervous to tackle curved and y seams. This would be a great opportunity for me to take some time to learn these skills.
Ooh, I’d love to win this. Very beginner quilter, starting to hand piece a small-scale, baby quilt version of your converging corners as my very first ever quilt!
Awesome giveaway! Y seam and curves would be awesome!
Very interested in an e-course! How cool! I would like to learn more about the basics and different ways to do the ‘quilting’ part of the quilt.
I could use all the help I can get! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway and the fabric is gorgeous.
I’d love to win! Thanks!
This class sounds perfect! I would really love the enhance my skills and learn some new techniques (curves?? …. Scary!!). Not to mention that I love that fabulous fabric! Thanks for the chance to win.
Binding, triangles, curves….everything. I taught myself how to sew and quilt so I feel like maybe I am missing things that I would have otherwise learned in a class or from someone who know these things. This class would be perfect for me to figure those things out.
Great idea! I would love to win… I mostly just cobble things together so learning to do things right would be wonderful 🙂
Oh I so need this, although not a beginner I could really use some expertise and lessons to get me further along, I feel like I always end up quilting in the same way and that sort of is getting boring 🙂
I’d love to win! Since I am self-taught, I always think how there are probably better ways I could be doing things:) And that vintage modern is oh-so-lovely!
That’s a great giveaway and I’d love to win and improve my skills.
I’d like to leard to free motion quilt.
I would love to learn more about sewing curves for quilting. I have seen a couple of modern mods to drunkards path and what not that I would love to try. Thank you so much for the great giveaway!
This class sounds like so much fun!
What incredible PRIZES! Both
Yes, I’d love to win
Sounds fun! I would love to learn more about quilting! Thank you!!

I would like to improve my free-motion quilting !
What a coincidence the 4th June is when my final assignment for the semester is due and then a few weeks break. I would love to win this giveaway as I’ve just not had the time to indulge in my quilting passion with all my uni work. This would be the perfect way to unwind, plus I LOVE Vintage Modern 🙂
Wow – reading the description – this class looks awesome! Daily quilting lessons? I hope I can keep up! This would be terrific to win as I am completely self taught and I know there are lots of shortcuts I don’t even know about. Thanks for the chance!
Oh, this is perfect! I am a beginner and i love Vintage Modern! Thank you!
boppiesgirl@gmail.com
Well, I can always learn something new about quilting, but what I’d be most interested in is her way of teaching. I’m interested in learning how to better explain quilting techniques in a clear and understandable way.
I’m solid on my basics, but learning more about the advanced stuff would be great! I’ve done Y seams before, but wasn’t thrilled with the results, so would appreciate learning how to do them better.
I would really love curves. I’ve got two patterns saved of quilts that I want to make but they are full of curves so I’ve been putting them off.
Thank you so much for the chance to win!
I am very new to quilting, have bought yards of fabric I love, but am having a hard time cutting into it and getting started. I need help!
What a fantastic giveaway. I’d love to win!

I would like to improve on accuracy when doing triangles. Thank you for a great giveaway!!!
Part of me thinks it would be really useful to learn curved piecing–and part of me is just scared!
I would love to learn more complicated styles and techniques for quilting. I know some of the basics but not much else. I would really enjoy learning more! Have lots of ideas and ambitious goals for pretty quilts but need a starting point! Thanks!
This class sounds awesome–I’d love to attend! I’m still a new quilter and I have a lot to learn.
This sounds like the kind of class I have been looking for. Thanks for the opportunity
Eu gostaria de aprender curvas.
I would love to cut fabric more accurately. I am challenged in that area and it is so basic.
What an awesome giveaway! Thanks! I would certainly love this–I’ve signed up for a class at the end of June that’s just ONE day–I can only imagine what I’d come away with after a little each day.
wonderful. I’ve been looking for a quilting course.
thanks for the opportunity.
I would really love to learn more about sewing curves into quilts, as well as free motion development.
Thanks! 🙂
Bethany
hi…free motion quilting is the skill that i struggle with most…i would love to give a good home to the vintage modern fabric!!
I just bought a charm pack of vintage modern. Love it. The class sound great. I’ve never done an online class.
Just the nudge I’ve needed to get started on my first quilt!
I don’t have access to a course such as this in South Africa, so winning this giveaway would be absolutely incredible ! Please, please let me win. I would love to learn more about the hand quilting process.
I would love to learn how to be more accurate. I think I cut accurately, make 1/4″ seams, but my finished blocks never come out the size they are supposed to.
Sounds like a great class. I love the Whipstich blog also. Making my first quilt is on my to-do list this year but I haven’t had the courage to jump in yet. This would be a perfect push to get me started!
as a professional distance educator and avid hobby quilter, I love this! kudos – and hope I win.
Wow! This is a great opportunity! Thank you!!
I want to learn how to sew curves and y-seams. I haven’t tried those two things yet.
thanks. I’d like to learn paper piecing.
I would like a “refresher course” on all areas, but I am really interested in learning more about modern quilting. I feel that I am stuck in the traditional world and I really want to get out. Help me, please! 🙂
I’m really new to quilting and I’m self-taught (blog-taught??). I could use any formal instruction I can get!
I really want to learn curve piecing and paper piecing. I have designed some pretty complicated blocks but can’t make them without knowing this. Thanks!
Measurement and cutting correctly are the skills I’m working on
I want to learn how to free motion quilt! I love the new Vintage Modern line!!!
I would love to work on my quilting stipples. Thanks for offering up such great goodies!
Sounds like a great class and and e-course sounds like a fun way to take a class!
Oh this sounds perfect for me! I am at the point now where I’m ready to learn new quilting skills, hope I win! Thanks for the giveaway
I really need some help with curves! Thanks.
i’d like to learn about y-seams. i’ve only tried it once or twice with not so great results. paper piecing would be wonderful also.
There are so many skills I”d like to learn ~ so many different things I haven’t done yet and of course I can’t think of one!
Thanks for the giveaway ~ both the online class and the Vintage Modern bundle are fab!
Great giveaway–thanks for the chance to win!!
I would love to win this! I still consider myself a beginner quilter so a class like this will be useful! Thanks for the chance to win!
What a great giveaway! I’ve been sewing forever, but have not been quilting very long (but you’d never know it by my fabric stash!), and I’d love to have some lessons. AND, I love Vintage Modern…woohoo! Thanks
Oooh, exciting stuff! I would love the chance to take this e-course, and perhaps learn some flying geese techniques!
I am a “newbie” quilter of just under 2 years — and self taught. It seems like there’s not enough time for me to leave my kids and take an in-person quilting class. This would be PERFECT!!! Thanks for the chance.
Curves always baffle me, and I’m dying to try foundation Piecing
I’d like to learn curved pieces. Please pick me, I so need an excuse to take a break from everyday chores.
jenn.barclay(at)gmail(dot)com
Everything that I have learned about quilting has been self taught and from tutorials on the net, I would love to learn more about complicated piecing. I am a huge fan of Bonnie and Camille’s fabric designs and would love to get my hands on a fat quarter bundle.
Thanks for the chance to win both items.
I would love to win this prize. Such a wonderful giveaway =)
Oh yes, pretty please! I’m afraid my curves tend to be, well, atrocious. And I just bookmarked Vintage Modern for a quilt I’m planning for my girl! Thanks for the chance.
Love that fabric. I’d like to learn quilt as you go.
I would like to lwork with seeing triangles. I kinda struggle with this.
Dianne
The course descriptions looks fantastic! Cutting long pieces of fabric is always a challenge for me. Thanks for the chance to win.
I’m a self-taught quilter and would LOVE to see how I am really supposed to be doing it:)
I’d like to learn curves. I’m afraid of them!
I would love to learn how to do trickier seams, like the y seam– I think this would open up a lot of new possibilities for me!
There are so many things I want to work on: curved piecing, paper piecing, applique, improving my triangle piecing, getting better at free motion quilting, you name it. I’m pretty good with cutting and sewing a straight line, now for the hard stuff!
I think that I just need some guidance going from the very beginning to the very end. One cohesive teacher!
What an awesome giveaway! I’ve never taken any kind of quilting class so it sounds great!
I’m a beginner and mostly self taught. I’d love to learn from an expert! Thanks for the chance to win!
I have never sewn a successful curve in my life, so that might just be what I need to work on! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway!! I would love to have a spot in this class and the fabric is just gorgeous!
I need to learn the art of free motion quilting! Rather embarrassed to admit that to be honest…
i am a total beginner quilter and i need to learn just about everything! this would be a great jumpstart for me!!
Wow! Great giveaway, thanks! I love the Vintage Modern fabric so much! I’ve been drooling over it lately. I have quilted for over 30 years and feel adept in most areas….except…machine quilting! I’d love to know more about that!
This is such an awesome giveaway! I really need to get in that class. I’m wanting to learn free motion quilting.
I’d love to learn how to sew y seams and curves. Thanks for the great giveaway!
Wow, a fantastic giveaway! Thank you! I’d love to learn more about curved piecing (I’m a little afraid of it!)
Y seams and curves are exactly what I want to learn!
What a great giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!
I’d like to work on my quilting skills. I don’t know how to free motion quilting and frequently get frustrated while straight-line quilting. It’d also be great to learn more about making sure the quilting enhances the design of the quilt.
I’ve been quilting for almost two years now, and I still haven’t worked up the nerve to FMQ — not even to practice! So that’s my skill I continue to want to learn. I would LOVE this course and bundle. It is a fantastic giveaway — thanks!
I’d love to take this class! I’d really like to improve my FMQ skills. I need to practice more!
I would love to learn how to correctly sew curves. Thanks so much for the amazing giveaway!!
I am a long time sewist but beginner quilter and your blog has put hundreds of quilts on the “to do” list in my head. I’m sure I could learn a lot from this course.
I’d love to learn paper piecing, sewing curves, AND FMQ. Seriously. If it’s not a straight line, I need help! Thanks for the chance! 🙂
puh-lease let it be me!
thanks for putting this together!
Wow – what a perfect giveaway! I’m in the middle of piecing my very first quilt top, so I suppose I need help with everything. But I’m most concerned about the actual quilting and the binding. I’ve attached bias tape to things in the past and I’m pretty sure it’s both animate, and out to get me…
And I *love* Vintage Modern!
I would like to improve my free motion quilting! Thanks!
i’ve never taken a quilting class, just jumped in blind! this would be a great help to me.
I just finished cleaning pee off the couch, thank you potty training two year old. I could really use a win right now! I’d love to learn more about paper piecing I haven’t been brave enough to try it yet.
What a great idea! I would love to take this class & win the FQ bundle! 🙂 I LOVE vintage modern!!
I would love a chance to win! I need to break out my mold and try some new quilting ideas!
Thanks,
Cindy
I have been told I’m a sewer not a quilter. I would like to learn about free motion quilting. I’m also really bad at mitered corners.
I really want to learn applique. I’ve got some Dresdens that need to be put on blocks.
This is a fantastic giveaway.
I would really like to learn about sewing curves, and triangle blocks, better. Thanks! The course looks great!
I would love to take the course! I’ve just gotten into quilting, and need all the help I can get!
I’d love to learn some appliqué. Thanks for the chance to win!
So exciting! I’d love to have the opportunity to improve my quilting skills. I’m self-taught and have lots of bad habits. Thanks!
Oh this is just what I need, I have been following some quilty blogs and swooning over some gorgeous projects but I have yet to get started – mainly because I don’t know where to start! Thank you for the chance.
Exciting! I would like to learn how to do piecing beyond basic, Y seams, curves, etc. I consider myself a beginner and very basic quilter, but I think I’m ready to step forward a bit. Thank you for the opportunity.
Such a good idea, can’t wait to get my quilting shoes on, fingers crossed
I have been sewing for many years, but would love to learn some new things!!! Thanks for the chance to win a spot!
I would like to learn more about curves and skills beyond the basics. Thanks for the chance to win!
I’d love to brush up on the basics and learn curved piecing!
I want to learn to FMQ. I have been to afraid to sit down and really try.
All I have done is stitching in the ditch and paying someone else to quilt my tops, so I have a lot to learn!! Thanks for the opportunity to win. Sounds fun and informative.
I’d love to work on curves – they really intimidate me!!
ooh – how generous! I really need to do more FMQ than just stippling or straight line quilting.
Love to win this!
This the best giveaway ever.. Good luck to one and all

Jaime

Susan
What a great opportunity. Thanks for the giveaway.
I think I want that fabric about as much as I would like to take the class… Thanks for the chance to win.
What an amazing giveaway! I want to learn how to sew curves!
Thanks!
I am always looking to improve my quilting skills, especially in curved seams.
I’ve never attempted curved seams.
I would love a course like this to “push” me to try new things! I would also love to have some information on little “tips and tricks” to make me a better and faster quilter.
what a great giveaway!! hope to win 🙂
I’ve done all my quilting by hand in the past, but I have a lovely new machine and it’s time to learn how to machine quilt!
What a nice giveaway, thanks! I’d love to learn from someone, everything I’ve learned from the past year has been from blogs, and I’m sure there is a ton more to learn.
What a neat giveaway!
I’ve been wanting to learn y seams and curved piecing but I’m too afraid to learn it on my own. I’d love to take a course that will teach me those!
Hi. I would like to learn many things! I’m at a loss for words right now!
An e-quilting class! I would like to see more free motion quilting and bias binding information. Thanks for the giveaway-it sounds wonderful. –slp.acp@gmail.com
Oh wow. I’d like to learn more about paper piecing (I always screw it up!) and I’d love to learn how to improve my Y seams. (And matching corners, but, well, I might be a lost cause, there.)
SongBird
This looks like an awesome class!
Love Bonnie and Camille fabrics! I like all quilting styles, but am interested to learn paper piecing and more applique!
An e-course sounds like a great idea. I can “attend” when it is convenient! Many thanks for great giveaway.
What a great giveaway!! I’m just pieced my first quilt so I would love to learn everything!!
I would love to be able to learn machne applique. I’ve heard of a method using monofiliment thread and a hemmimg stitch.
I also need to learn how to fit in more sewing hours each week! (LOL)
Wow that is a great giveaway! I’d love to win, pick me! 😉
Oh, what I great idea. I dare not tackle y-seams, FAQ and a lot of other stuff so it would be a great opportunity.
what a fantastic giveaway! i’m definitely a beginner and would love to learn more advanced techniques on everything… so far i’ve just tackled free motion on my little machine. and i have no idea what a y seam is. i’m eager to learn! 🙂
This sounds fantastic! I would love to take a class with Deborah, but until now, Atlanta was just a bit of a trek from Seattle! Thanks for sharing the great news. 🙂 I would like to improve on curved piecing and start FMQ.
I’d love to learn some tougher skills and brush up on my quilting — and those fabrics are so yummy! Fingers crossed! (okay toes too!)
I’d like to learn where it is I goof up so bad. I think I’m cuttin it right. My foot is set to 1/4 in and I’ve measured a lot of times. But then I go to join pieces or blocks and they are all kinda o wobbly!
curves!!
I really like the look of applique and reverse applicque, I’d love to learn how to do those techniques in a quilt.
I’m a complete novice at quiltmaking but the more quilts I see, the more I want to have a go at it! I need to learn EVERYTHING – this would be a fantastic prize!
I’m not a “new” quilter since I made my first quilt with my Grandmother as a kid but I’m definitely still a novice. This course sounds like so much fun. Although I’ve made a few throw quilts they’re all tied and I’ve never quilted anything except a few pot holders I made last Christmas. Right now I’ve got a quilt top almost finished that is just waiting for me to built up the courage (and practice) to try machine quilting. This course sounds like a great way to learn all sorts of techniques I’ve been drooling over.
I am just learning applique and love it! I love the vintage modern fabrics too!
right now I work very basically and am self taught. I fear nothing in trying it but would like to learn the “proper” techniques that might help me hone my skills
Thanks for the giveaway! Always room for more fabric and inspiration!
I’m sure that I do so many things “incorrectly” when I quilt. I would love to improve my skills!
Ooohhh…I’ve been wanting to learn how to do Ynseams and curves so this sounds great, plus Vintage Modern is lovely and in my to-get list! Thank you for the generous give-away!
Blessings
Hi there, this is an amazing give away and I really would love to win. Although I tought myself to quilting techniques via books and blogs like yours, I would like to improve myself and check up if I am doing it right in such an e-class. Especially because I just can`t fly over the ocean and take a class in the US in the near future by myself this is a good opportunity to take part.
Best from Germany Sibylle
I’ve been sewing/quilting for forever, but have never tackled Y seams!
I have looked like you said and I think that there are many things an advanced quilter good learn from this class. So even I would like a chance to win this great price. Thanks for doing this.

Oops, my email was typed incorrectly as I signed off.

I’m working on my second quilt this weekend and would love to take this class. Not quite ready for Y seams but have lots to learn!
What a fab giveaway!
I would love to learn sewing curves. Haven’t tried it yet, it looks scary to me.
I would love to be able to take this class! I’ve been admiring lots of cool modern quilts online, but haven’t had the guts to take it up myself yet. 🙂
This sounds like a fantastic course and I’ve just begun to quilt yesterday, literally! I’d love to learn how to properly quilt!
This would be the perfect giveaway to win. As Im pretty much self taught there’s so much I’d like to learn “properly”. Getting the tension and stitch length right in fmq would be the best skill I could learn. And practicing on those lovely fabrics would be a bonus!
I would love to learn y seams properly. This course sounds fab!
Wow- this would be wonderful!! I’ve only been quilting about a year and still sweat when it comes to free motion quilting! I would love to learn curves and the y seams! All of it would be of help to me! Would love winning the fat quarter bundle too! Thanks!:)
Oh my what a wonderful give away 🙂 I am new to quilting, so brushing up on a little of everything would be great! Thanks so much for the chance to win 🙂

Wow!!! What a fantastic giveaway! Thanks for the opportunity!! 🙂
lorepuckett at verizon dot net
This class would be such a fun way to spend the start of the summer! Thanks for sharing!
This would be a GREAT opportunity! I have long wanted to take a quilting class, but it’s always at an inconvenient time or place. This would solve both those problems – and it would really force me to get to work on that fabric stash I’ve been hoarding. Thanks for the giveaway!
Ashley, this is one FANTASTIC giveaway. At first I was rather ho hum about an on-line quilt class. I’ve made a few quilts and thought, I’ll know everything she’d teach. Well, I clicked on the link anyway and my jaw dropped. This is not just for beginners! I’d love to learn curved piecing. I also need some serious help with color theory and fabric selection. Y seams so far have scared me, maybe learning about them would open up worlds of possibility. Actually, many of the skills listed for the class are ones that I could or should work on. And, winning the Vintage Modern? That would certainly sweeten the prize. I love that line and even have an idea for a quilt to make with it!
What a fun giveaway! I’d like to learn more about Y seams! Thanks for the chance to win! 🙂
What a great giveaway! I have been eying Vintage Modern and can’t wait to get my hands on it!
I want to learn how to do cathedral windows as well as trapunto. Thanks for a great giveaway!
I would like to learn how to piece more accurately. Wonderful giveaway – thank you 🙂
I started quilting several years ago without having taken a class. I would love to now!
What a great opportunity for those of us that can’t travel to some of these wonderful classes. Thanks again for hosting this giveaway. Love the quilts that you have been doing lately. They really inspire me to get to the sewing machine and my granddaughter and I are going out to photograph my finished projects in the park tomorrow.
I’d love to improve my free-motion and my y-seams. Actually, I’d like to stop avoiding y-seams all together but they still terrify me. 🙂 Thanks!
What a fantastic giveaway! I recently finished my first quilt, but had a struggle with the quilt sandwich! I’d love to learn a better, more effective technique. I can’t wait to make my Grandma proud!
Oh I haven’t done curves yet! That would be great to learn and quilting tips. Too bad I’m leaving for vacation on the 3rd.
I’d like to learn to free motion quilt.
Great giveaway – I am a self taught quilter and would love to learn more about quilting!
I would love to win this! I am still basically a beginner, I have collected mass amounts of fabric and kits and books and how-to sites over the years but the only blocks I have actually been brave enough to try so far have been CQ blocks.
Would love to be selected. Class sounds wonderful!
Oh this sounds like a fabulous course. I really want to learn curves.
I would love to win a class. I love all of Bonnie and Camille’s lines. Thanks for the chance to win!
Oooooooo, that’d be lovely!!!! Come on random selection. I can fake it well enough, but it would probably do me some good to get some schooling in the proper foundation. ;O) Thanks for this awesome give-a-way!
I would love to learn how to do curves and Y seams. I ave never attempted either.
My paper piecing skills could use a little help and I’m definitely not good at “y” seams…love the Vintage Modern fabric, too! Thanks for the great giveaway!!
I’m a self-taught quilter, but I’ve never tried machine-quilting (always hand-quilting), so I’d love to take this course and learn true “technique” and try some machine-quilting too.
I would love to learn free-motion quilting with my new machine! Thanks for the giveaway!
I would love to improve my curved piecing skills! And I love that Vintage Modern! Thanks for the giveaway!
I would appreciate the curves and y seam instruction. I feel I do pretty good with the basics and basic meandering FMQ, but the more advanced piecing scares me yet. And I am loving vintage modern! I keep looking but haven’t bought any yet..,
Thanks for the great giveaway!
It’s great to see sewing and quilting lessons being offered and I’d love to win! Everyone can always learn new ways to make things when it comes to fun sewing techniques.
Thanks!
The curved seams thing. They look incredibly daunting!!!
I may yet have to subscribe myself to this course.
Sounds like fun!
I have a lot to learn, including binding and free motion quilting. Bonnie and Camille are my favorite designers. Love their fabric. Thanks for the giveaway.
I have so much to learn — but currently interested in more free motion quilting experience and learning paper piecing. Thank you so much for this opportunity!
What an awesome opportunity! I would love the chance to hone skills!
Wow! What a fabulous giveaway!!! I would get so much out of this course and I am dying to get my hands on some Vintage Modern! Thank you so much!!!
Oh this sounds wonderful! I would love to learn how to do those tricky drunkard path blocks! Thanks for a GREAT giveaway!
What a cool giveaway! I’m just cutting out a curved pattern & would love to win a space on the course to learn how to sew them properly! Thanks 🙂
The course sounds wonderful! I’m working on my first actual quilt (lap/curl-up-on-the-couch size); until now it’s been all small baby items, like bibs and burp cloths. So I have a lot to learn! And the Vintage Modern fabric group is great– I was looking at it at a quilt shop earlier today!
Oooh!! I would love to win this!! I am not able to go on a retreat, but online learning is very doable!!
Such a wonderful give away. I’d like to learn about Y seams. Haven’t done much with them yet. And I LOVE Vintage Modern fabric. My husband is having shoulder surgery on the 4th, this class would give me something to keep my mind on. (I’m afraid I’ll go insane with him laid up for 6 weeks.)
I could definitely use more skills!
This sounds so good I am applying. Thank you both so much.
I have a fair bit of experience piecing a quilt, but would love to learn how to quilt it. I am on the verge of trying to do that, but could use some experienced guidance before I start.
Thanks for this outstanding giveaway.
What a wonderful way to start the summer~time for me and learning more quilting techniques!!!! Thank you so much for the exciting giveaway!!!!
I would love to win an opportunity to do this class.
There are no quilting classes available where I live and I’ve only been quilting for a few yrs. would love to learn more and continue to improve.
oh, pick me! i was cursing my way along a quilt earlier tonight and i totally don’t know if it’s my machine or me.
What a fabulous giveaway and opportunity to learn so much about patchwork! Thank you for offering this great chance to improve our skills.
I would like to improve my FMQ skills – thanks for the chance to win!
What an interesting idea, an online class, going beyond the tutorials. I’d like to just learn new skills and improve wherever I can with my quilting. Thank you for the opportunity!
oh, what an awesome giveaway! it’s funny, i’ve found my style evolving the longer i’m actively quilting (colour! in my wardrobe!), and lately i’ve REALLY REALLY been wanting to make a sampler quilt. i never would’ve dreamed it! most of my quilts the last few years have tended to focus on an overall design, and i would love the opportunity to slow down, and work with one block at a time, learning techniques as i go. i’ve shied away from y-seams and precise curves, but i love what i can do with them, so i need to learn!
thank you so much for hosting such a fabulous giveaway!
I would love to learn how to do Y seams and inset seams . They sound scary !
Great giveaway ,thanks .
I would like to learn to saw curve and free motion quilting please.
It would be great if you could go “back to the basics” like fabric selection. I have made many quilts but still am not confident on this. Are my fabrics are working together? Complementing each other or overpowering each other? Too dull or bland? Too busy for the pattern? Did I lose the pattern lines because of the fabrics?
I’d be happy to learn or review all quilting techniques, but I’d really like to learn some tips on the math part of quilting such as how to calculate diagonal pieces for background, or how to change the size of a block or just to design a block or a quilt. Love, love the new Vintage Modern line!!
What at wonderful opportunity! I think this is great for anyone and everyone as we can always brush-up on our skills. Loving the new vintage modern fabrics!
What a neat idea. I’m out here on the farm and can’t get to craft lessons, but I sure can get online! I’d like to refresh and learn better hand quilting techniques and try some machine quilting basics.
I’d love to re-learn the basics (well, learn the basics as I’ve never had a lesson), as often my blocks aren’t the correct size & things don’t match up as they should. Thanks for the chance to win this lovely proze.
That sounds very interesting, I´m deffinitely the begginer and would love to learn more!!! tahnk you for the chance to win

I can always use the practice and new techniques on any skill but the one I really want to learn is curved piecing. Thanks for the chance!
Oh wow, how exciting! I loved Deborah’s voice in her book, so I know an online course would be so comfortable and fun.
I would love to get to grips with free motion quilting. I’ve had a few quick goes with mixed success, but I’m not confident enough to try it on a real project yet!
I’d love this so much but am in UK so presume I can’t enter! But good luck everyone – a great giveaway! x

Susie
I’m a new quilter and this seems like the perfect course for me! Thanks so much for the giveaway!!
What an amazing opportunity! A good friend of mine taught me how to quilt soon after I graduated from college and was working at a boarding school. I loved it! Then, once the babies came and life happened, I was forced to pack up my fabric and sewing machine and to “press pause” on quilting. Recently, life is throwing us some more curve balls, and I have returned to quilting for centering myself and reflection. I am beyond rusty and would really love the course. Thank you for offering such a wonderful giveaway!
What a fantastic giveaway, thanks so much! I feel my binding skills are lacking…a little confidence-booster is greatly needed!
The course sounds like a lot of fun! I’m always looking for ways to brush up on my quilting skills, and the fabrics look great!
