The other day I showed a closer look at two of my hope valley quilts. Here are the last two of the series… starting with #4
This one is quite similar to quilt #2, but on a rose colored background with the blocks positioned in the upper corner instead. Rather than spacing these blocks, I sewed them all together and then added a white border to that large block so they’d stand out from the purple solid background.

Another pieced backing on this one -

I did the same random straight line quilting, again with a few double stitch lines for fun.

And then the last, which is actually the first one I made of this series

I did a thin border of the purple/rose solid to make the blocks appear larger, and then sashed it all in the solid white (Kona Snow, if you want to be precise!)

The backing of this one has a few pieced vertical strips on a white background. I quilted it on the diagonal, with my favorite – a double diagonal in one direction and a single line in the other direction.

These two have joined the other two in the shop!
2009 was a good year
a whole lot of flea market fancy… in a quilt (finally!)

i love all 4 of these, and am really starting to like purple again.
They are all so beautiful! I just discovered your blog and love it.
Every one is a delight!
Very pretty!!!! I personally like the first one the most. All the white makes it look very simplistic and pretty. ADORABLE!!!
They are beautiful additions to your Hope Valley Series. Lovely!
do you use a double needle to do the double lines?.. or just sew twice close together?? {they look great!}
Great additions to the series! Man, it looks bloody cold there!!!
Beautiful!
got an email from my aunt in burlington saying y’all had 25+inches of snow…it looks goooood! really makes those quilts pop.
These are all so pretty! (And you have such a picturesque area for you photo shoot!)
Beautiful! Your such an inspiration. Keep up the great work! Denise
