converging corners quilt top

So you’ll probably recognize this design from my Brrr! mini quilt. Originally I was going to make a larger quilt using the aqua as the background, but after making a few blocks I thought it might be fun to try to use both the great colorways of Laurie Wisbrun’s Brrr! line with white as the background color.

Laurie, talented designer that she is, has created yet another fabulous line, this time featuring these wonderfully cute polar bears along with some great coordinating prints in two colorways – one made up of blues and reds and the other in reds and greens, lending itself perfectly for wintery and Christmasy projects. That being said, I thought it might be kind of fun to add in a few other fabrics and colors to see if I could achieve a slightly less wintery look.

I added in those fun circles from Laurie’s Modern Whimsy line, a few other Robert Kaufman prints, and some other basics from my stash.

Year round fun?

I sure hope so!

I took a few photos while constructing the last two blocks, so if there’s interest, I could put together a quick how-to for you…  Ok then, tutorial coming up next week!
