Whats this blue thing so many of us have? Couple of years ago I had a passing thought…urge… or reality break and decided to organize “the stash” When I got done….gave up…or came back to reality…. I had 3 times more blue then any other color!!!

Awesome question – I don’t have a great answer. Lately I been a “completer” purchaser. All of “this” or all of “that.” Not a piece here & there.
When I did but a piece here & there I usually bought for a project so if I were working on an Aqua quilt, I would buy Aqua…
Also I don’t sort by color (I don’t really sort at all) so I can’t see pools of color…
Right now I have a lot of red. SO to answer the question, I will just say “Red.”
(I just finished a blue & brown quilt, so my depleted browns would love this fat quarter bundle!)
I spent the weekend sorting out my scraps for a particular project and as a result realized that green is my most oft-purchased colour, which is weird because I’m quite indifferent to green in other aspects of my life. I am definitely short on substantial browns and I have some projects in mind that scream “brown”. I, too, have more blues than I should be using. I am drawn to them even though most blues don’t match my home decor at all. Maybe that’s why I haven’t yet made a quilt for myself!

Recently I have bought a lot of prints with black – animal prints, texts, etc. I like to mix a little black in almost whatever I make, to me it makes everything feel a little more modern.
I’ve got lots of blues, too – looks like I’m in good company! Lately, though, I’ve been trying to diversify, with mixed results. Thanks for the giveaway!

In looking at my stash, I seem to have an abundance of browns/neutrals. How boring! But the Dec. collection is not boring! Maybe that’s just what I am left with after I use all the “fun” colors? I will spend more time on the pink castle website–lots of yummy things there…

Last year for Christmas I got my husband a beer kit of the month club so he could brew all year round. Maybe he should return the favor this year with fabric. I always have blues.
I love this idea, although I’m pretty sure my husband would NOT be happy with me if I signed up for it! And to answer the question, I tend to buy mostly blues, simply because I only have one nephew.

I would definitely love to add fabrics to my very (seriously) small stash. I have recently gotten into quilting and now realized how smart my mother was for the massive amount of fabric she kept. She wasn’t a quilter but rather an all around seamstress and crafts person who LOVED to sew. I always find myself drawn to browns, greens, blues, neutrals and greys. I have so many projects I’d like to start but right now I’m only able to plan and afford fabric for one project at a time. (But Im saving every even remotely useful scrap for down the road). Don’t you hate it when you suddenly realize that you’re parents were right or weren’t as crazy as you though when you were a little kid.

I definitely have a tendency to buy green – lime not kelly or hunter. But I also buy yellows whenever I see them because it seems like that is a color that is harder to come by.

I am like you in that I buy lots of blues and not so many reds and purples. I also often buy brown now because several years back I needed browns, and there just weren’t many available. So now I buy them in case there is a shortage in the future!

I did sign up for the Stash Stack Club specifically because December was brown and I have no good brown fabrics in my stash. None, not a single one. (I have a few not so great, Joann’s fabrics in brown, but nothing I’d want to use for an online quilting bee).
The color I have the most of is probably purple, but my stash really isn’t very large, so it’s hard to say.
Blues and reds are my weakness. Currently working on adding more green and yellow to the mix.

I love those browns! I need more of EVERY color- I am bad to not buy enough of my favorites and then I end up using everything I have on hand for one quilt!
I like colors that make me think of wood, trees, etc. I like brown, cream, orange, beige.

I buy alot alot of Blue and orange but when I was starting to quilt I knew I wanted to make a quilt for my room and I also was buying Seasonal blues in the beginning of summer, they are all gorgeous, Now I want to buy more colors, so I started on gray, Brown would also be be great, it matches the blues.

Glancing into the cupboard I notice that there is a big gap in my range of yellows. I always try to buy yellows/golds when I see them, but it is still a small percentage. But red, WOW, I must love red! And then the next largest amount is orange. Do you think I’m a warm colour person?

I gravitate towards pinks, but I love purple and go insane over black and whites…it’s such fun to stop and think about my stash.
I love any colors in cotton, flannel, or denim….as I love making denim rag quilts and have just started doing so within the past few months and since starting this, I have managed to make 6 denim rag quilts as Christmas presents for family members….all were done using recycled clothing and fabrics. And no I can’t seem to start a simple small project, I had to try to tackle 6 all at one time…but they are all complete. I am unemployed and have difficulty trying to get fabric to use, so winning this giveaway would be a true blessing! Just a note on the funny side, I also failed sewing in school…..the only subject I ever failed! My 6 quilts turned out amazing…even I was impressed!!
