I couldn’t resist playing around with a few more triangles, though this time focusing on these low volume fabrics and a mix of neutrals for the background. I can’t decide how I feel about it – sometimes I walk by the design wall and love it, and other times I feel like it’s not quite right. I think perhaps it might be one I’ll love once it’s finished…

And for the grandparents, how about a couple photos of the little one?
(love that smile!)
Max’s recent achievement is sitting up unsupported. He thinks it’s pretty fabulous. Apparently toys are much more interesting when you can sit up and play with them.
Have a happy weekend!

zig zag progress…
a nautical quilt

He’s in the golden time – when they can sit up but not crawl. Enjoy it while it lasts! Also, I like the triangles but I’d have to see the whole thing to know for sure.
Goodness, he’s adorable! The first photo of him is priceless!
OMG! Can’t you just eat him up! What a cutie!
Oh, yes, play is SO much more fun when you can sit up!
Oh yes, you wait for the crawling – ha ha!!
Such a little sweetheart! Oh, and your triangles are nice, too.
Such a precious boy! Love the triangles too!
Okay. In those fuzzy little pants??
Eat. Him. With. A. Spoon!!!!!
What a little cutie Max is! I like the triangles too, I think it will be great!
I like Max more than the triangles too!
He’s such a cutie pants! The triangles are good – I like the ones with different fabrics for each half of the sashing.
My God he is the cutest thing I have ever seen! The quilt looks great, you are inspiring me to make something with triangles!
It blows my mind how much you get done, you seem to have hundreds of finished projects for every one of mine and I dont even have a little one around! Looks great!
Love the triangles!
Max looks such a cutie!
Loved the pictures. How I wish I was closer! Hugs and kisses to all of you.
I adore scrap quilts. Using neutrals (for me) has always been non-exciting – I am inspired to rethink my opinion after seeing your quilt – I appreciate how much fun you seem to have. Plus your little boy is adorable – he is one happy camper!
Well there’s one thing not to be ambivalent about and it’s THAT BOY. I love you quilts and have to look at your blog every day, but that baby is just too gorgeous and always steals the show.
Such a cute quilt! But I agree, Max steals the show!:) He is soooo adorable- I think I’d have to kiss that sweet face all the time!:) He’s going to have lots of girlfriends when he gets older!:)
What a cutie! I’m melting…
Love the quilt. I think the quilting will bring it alive for you.
I have been wanting to do something with triangles and love what you’ve done with these! I like the patterns that start to pop out but then disappear.
He is getting so big and I loved the sitting play stage!
DIMPLES! Why haven’t I noticed them before? Isn’t it amazing all the things he has mastered in these few months. Thank you so much for your kindness in sharing these special moments with all of us. Please deliver a special hug from me. Gratefully, Nikki
Max is so darn cute! Love the soothing colors of the triangles… It’s really unique!

I didn’t konw where to contact you, but lately when I have been typing in “Film in the Fridge” and your blog link pops up and I click on it, I have been directed to porn. I don’t know what is going on or if others have been experiencing it as well. If I type in your link it works, but from a search engine that is what I get.
This quilt is fantastic!!! i love it. So refreshing and new! love that you used different colors to border the triangles.
