Wow, it’s taken me a long time to finish this quilt! I just checked back to see when I initially blogged about it, and it turns out it was over a year ago. I don’t even have any good excuses, either. I think it was just one of those tops that ended up stored in the closet, and I completely forgot about it. It’s nice to finally have it finished!
It’s made up out of the lovely MoMo It’s a Hoot line, and really makes a wonderful patchwork quilt. I backed it with one of the prints from this line, and bound it with an aqua solid, which seems to be my go-to color lately. I quilted through the squares with a zigzag pattern this time.
It measures about 34″ x 43″ and is for sale in the shop!
And now, just for fun, I had a couple extra charm packs of this line left over, so I picked two comments from those received last week. Congrats to LeAnn (who commented on this post) and to Kelly Irene (who commented on this post)! You’ve each won a charm pack of MoMo’s It’s a Hoot. I’ll be sending you both an email shortly.
i love that line! love the quilt.
You have a new baby. It doesn’t matter how long it takes you to finish a quilt; it matters that you finished it. 🙂 It’s lovely, by the way.
Cute quilt, love that line!
such a happy quilt!
I just love your quilts. They are so pretty and fresh looking.
Love the colours. The print on the back looks lovely.
I love the zig zag quilting. I can even do that.
beautiful! congrats on the finish! love it.
The backing fabric is fabulous!
It’s such a cute quilt! I have some yardage from that line I am planning on using for a picnic blanket.
How nice to giveaway to your regular commenters!!
Now I’m even MORE excited about winning the charm pack! Love how bright and cheery your quilt is — perfect backing choice, too. Thank you!!
Having a baby doesn’t count as an excuse for not finishing this quilt??
Isn’t it funny how things get moved about on our list
of “to do’s”? :o)
I am having a little give a way.
Would you like to drop by? :o)
hugs. Trish
Lovely baby quilt! I would love to make one of these for my baby on the way. I am a newbie at quilting… Would you mind sharing how big the squares are once cut? For the same size, how much fabric of each print would I need and how much would I need for the backing print?
Thank you!
