I realized this morning that I almost missed my 3 year blogging anniversary! I had it in the back of my mind that it was coming up, and I knew I wanted to do something to celebrate, but somehow the day (June 1st) came and went without me realizing it… but better late than never, right?
In some ways it seems like just yesterday that I started sewing and writing about it, and in others, it seems like it’s been way longer than just three years. Thank you to all of you who have stopped by the blog throughout these years. I certainly appreciate each and every one of you who take the time to visit, read and comment. I hope you know how much I enjoy reading your comments, even though I don’t often have the time to respond (especially since Max’s arrival!)
Speaking of, look who else is celebrating a milestone – Max is 8 weeks old today!
Anyway, to celebrate, I thought it would be fun to give away a quilt. How about this one, made from Anna Maria Horner’s lovely Innocent Crush? While I’m not usually drawn to purples, I love the way it looks in this quilt with all the solid white, and I’m particularly fond of that green binding. I hope one of you will be as well!
[You can find the original post about this quilt here, as well as a tutorial to make this quilt block here... you know, in case you don't win, but still want to make one!]
To enter, please leave a comment on this post. You’re welcome to write whatever you’d like, or if you’d like, you could tell me what you’d like to see/read more of on this blog. Please just leave one comment per person! International entries are welcome. I’ll leave it open through the weekend and will select a winner on Monday.
Comments are now closed. I’ll select and post the winner shortly!

a long weekend…
a quilt winner…
I love your blog and quilts, they’re so modern and fresh! Yay for 3 years!
Your ability to sew so prolifically, even throughout your pregnancy, and post so often is an inspiration! I wish I could keep up
That quilt is amazing! What is also amazing is how much sewing you’ve done since Max’s arrival. My baby was born a week before Max and I am still struggling to find a way to do a little sewing here and there.
Gorgeous Max and a gorgeous quilt, what more could you want!
I’m in agreement. I think Mr. Max needs to stay on as primary quilt model. And maybe cool fabric alerts or finds of the modern variety.
Congrats on your three year bloggiversary and congrats to Max for his 8 weeks!
I have a toddler and I wished I could do as much as you get done. I love your blog!
I found your blog about 6 months ago and I love it! I just had a baby 12 weeks ago so it was always fun to read along about your pregnancy too! Your quilts are beautiful! I am in the midst of my first strip quilt as we speak!
Hi Ashley!
Keep up the amazing work!
I’ve been following your blog for a few months now and I absolutely love the way you combine fabrics and colors to make your gorgeous quilts! I’ve never made a quilt before but you have inspired me and I recently bought some batting so i could give it a try soon! Max is absolutely adorable too and I love all of the pictures you post!
Mary
I don’t think you should change a thing unless its more of that gorgeous baby
Love your blog, so inspirational.
Congratulations on 3 years and 8 weeks
I love your blog – I use your pics for inspiration.
Congrats on the milestones! I love the green binding on this one.
I love everything you already write about! Every post is inspiring, for sure. Thanks!
I LOVE your blog, I always smile when I see a post in my reader by FITF
OMG what a wonderful giveaway. My sister and her hubby love purple, and I have none in my stash, and I suppose I owe them a quilt….I would love to win this and then give it to them :0
Gorgeous quilt, it is always so inspiring to see what all you are sewing!
happy anniversary! i love that quilt, that fabric, and that sweet 8-week-old darling. <3
lovely colours in this quilt…so generous of you to give it away….congrats on 3 years…
Congratulations on two great milestones! Love, love, love the Innocent Crush fabric and this quilt.
First off I love your quilts. I have it as a goal of mine to make one someday, but in the meantime I just drool over yours. I’d love to win, especially with a little one on the way in about a month- which is going to put off my quilt-making plans for at least a bit!
I also wish I could keep up! You really are an inspiration! And happy first-two-months-birthday to Max!
I absolutely love your work. You are such an inspiration.
I find your blog very ispirational. I now think more “out of the box” with a sewing project and even am attempting larger-scale projects-plus cute baby pics are always
win-win for us all!! Congratulations on your blogging milestone!
Love your quilts… your quilt backs inspire me… and Max is the cutest ever…
Congratulations on the 3 years, and double congratulations on the last 8 weeks! You are an inspiration x
I love your blog and your modern quilts! Thanks for the giveaway opportunity!
Congrats! The quilt is lovely!!
It’s a lovely quilt. It’s funny I don’t really like those AMH prints much when I see them on their own, but they look so wonderful when they’re actually in use.
Max is adorable, as ever.
You are an inspiration. I love the quilts you make and the way you quilt them.
I’ve followed you blog for quite a while cuz 1) I like how your blog looks; 2) I like your writing style; and 3) I really like what you make! Congrats on 3 years AND on your little one. Life is good.
I have enjoyed reading your website for the past two years. I love your use of bright colors! You have inspired me to try colors out of my comfort zone and I’m enjoying the new experience with the colors! Here’s to many more years of blogging!
Congrats on your blogiversary!
Sweet Baby and a Lovely Quilt
I’d love to see step by step tutorials (if you can manage with the baby ;D)
I’m new to quilting and following the blogging world and this specific quilt with tutorial is one of the first one’s I really fell in love with and could see how approchable this craft was. Congrats on three years and the new little one!
Congrats on 3 years!! I’ve been following you for about a year now and I just love your blog!
Congrats on 3 years! That is a lot of blogging! I really enjoy your quilts, keep up the good work. Thanks for sharing!
Hi Ashley, congrats on your 3 year! I love that purple quilt, so pretty! Purple is officially my new Winter Colour (I’m writing from South Africa) and a new quilt would be very welcome in the cold weather we’ve been having.
I love your blog. It inspired me to make a string quilt – which is still in progress!
Thanks for all your beautiful posts.
I was so sad to flip the page on my Whip Up calendar the other day, and say goodbye to the May photo of your Heather Ross quilt. I’m always inspired by your work! Happy blog anniversary, and a happy 8 weeks to little Max!
Congratulations! Thanks for sharing your creativity and life with us!
Congrats on 3 years! And a happy 8 weeks to Max
What a wonderful giveaway Ashley! Your quilts are always so awesome. You do inspire me to get my tail moving.
Max is just too cute for words. 8wks already. Wow!!! Have a wonderful weekend with your guys.
Congratulations on three years!
That quilt is beautiful. Love seeing the pictures of Max as he grows.
You made a lot of pretty pretty things in only three years (and a precious baby too!)! Congratulations for all your beautiful work and for all the inspiration you generously share with us! It would be a honour to have one of your quilts!!
Congratulations on your blog-anniversary! And thank you for being such an inspiration!
I love your blog and your quilts. I always find inspiration on your blog. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations and patterns!
Congrats on 3 years and 8 weeks! Max looks adorable in his quick change trousers!
What a gorgeous quilt! And as always, that dear baby Max is a stunner. Congrats on the milestones!
Congratulations on your three years blogging anniversary! Your quilts are so lovely and I especially like the colour combinations you choose – so fresh and warm. Also, the speed at which you whip them up is admirable, even with a little one to look after. Thanks so much for the give-away.
Congratulations on your milestone. Thank you for being such an inspiration to us all. Thanks for the pictures of the baby he is the cutest thing ever. This is one of my all time favorite quilts that you have made. Thanks for the giveaway.
Congrats! I love your color sense and how you use a fabric that I have somehow overlooked and made it shine.
Three years…I don’t know how long I have been reading but it’s been quite a while. I feel like you have really developed a place for yourself on the web. Your design and style are distinct and your work has definitely influenced mine. I have made several of your pillowcases and thought of and referenced your techniques as well. I know your life is definitely in transition with Max. I hope you are able to find the balance you like between motherhood and sewing. Happy blog anniversary to you!
Congratulations on your anniversary! I love reading your blog – I always find what you’re sewing so inspiring! I don’t know how you kept sewing while pregnant though – I’m now in my 6th month and just can’t get in the groove. It’s so nice that your little guy gets to enjoy snuggling on quilts you made!
What an amazingly generous giveaway! I love your blog, and your quilting style has really inspired me. I used to primarily sew clothing but now I am crazy about quilts, and a lot of it is due to you!
I just want to tell you how inspiring your blog is, and what a fantastic introduction it’s been to me over the past couple of years to modern quilting. I only knew what my mom had taught me (which was great!) but didn’t look anything like what you do – and I am in LOVE with every one of your quilts. Thanks for the years of pumping me full of creativity and desire to quilt!
Congratulations on blogging for 3 years. I like that you have some clothing ideas on here as well as quilting. Also big contrats on Max. He is such a cute bubba.
Oh boy, I’ve loved that quilt since you first posted it! Don’t change a thing about your blog, please… you inspire me daily!
Congratulations on milestones! I always love to see your different takes on quilting. Your creativity is inspiring!
Yeah for 3 years AND for 8 weeks! Thanks for the inspiration you provide here on your blog!
My daughter-in-law got me started on following quilting & fabric blogs over the Christmas break. What a joy it has been to have a little peek into the windows of so many talented & inspirational quilters & fabric junkies. Amazing, vibrant, and gorgeous ideas to glean from. Thanks so much for letting us “in”. My machine is smoking!
Love your blog and I love to see all of your quilts!
I love your tutorials, but even just the beautiful photos of your quilts are enough to inspire me to quilt more! I would love to win that quilt, but if I don’t I plan to try out that block myself!
I love your quilts and your blog, and I’m amazed at your ability to choose colors and patterns and fabrics. I can’t do it, I think I lack that color combination gene. And what a better proof of that ability than that gorgeous little baby, a really cute genes combination. You have a gift, oh yes.
Love the baby pic and love the quilt! Congrats on your anniversary.
Congratulations to you and Max! I would love to see more of your quilt design process and color/fabric selection thanks for the inspiration
As a new sewer, your blog has been really inspirational!
Congrats on your 3 yr. anniversary!!! Here’s to many more anniversaries to come!!!
I check your blog and your Etsy site all the time. I love your use of colours and I often stop by just for inspiration and “refreshment” when I’m working on a project! And I so much enjoy your tutorials, too – I can really understand what to do from your writing and photos. I have been loving the pix of Max – I’ve got four chicks in my nest, all growing up too quickly, and your photos bring back those happy baby days!
What a lovely quilt! Congrats on 3 years and 8 weeks!
I love your blog. It is a constant source of inspiration for my quilting. Congratulations to you and Max!
congratulations on 3 yrs! (and 8 weeks!) i love tutorials, but i know they take a lot of time to prep. so, my request would be tutorials (when you have the time) and lots of quilty photos for inspiration.
What a beautiful quilt. Baby is even cuter. I would love to win the quilt.
I too would love to see more of how you get your inspirations and the process of design and color selection. I enjoy your blog. ENjoy Max- he will be a handful (although a sweet handful) soon.
started sewing around the same time as you did here in hamburg (germany) and came across your blog searching the web for quilt inspirations. love it big time since then and thank you for all these beauties you created during the last years including your cute baby boy!
Congratulations! Your quilts are beautiful, but Max is absolutely precious!
I just LOVE this quilt. It’s one of my favourites. It’s also my favourite fabric so far and I’m only a relative newbie quilter. I love seeing all your gorgeous pics of you little baby. I’ve got an 18wk old myself.
Hey Ashley! Beautiful quilt!! No need to enter me (as I am sure you understand I have plenty of quilts already!) but just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed reading your blog and getting to know you over the past years!! Friends are the best party of this whole quilt blog dealio!! XO-Alissa

A beautiful quilt and a precious baby boy! Thank you for giving us the chance to win one of your amazing quilts!
You are a constant source of inspiration! Max is adorable. Thanks for blogging!
This quilt has been a favorite since you first posted about it – thanks for the chance to win it! Your blog inspired me to try quilting and I now have 3 finished, 3 WIP, and a fabric stash with many quilts in its future. I have benefitted from the tutorials and love the clear, bright photos. Advice on technique is always appreciated. Many, many congratulations on your anniversary and beautiful little Max.
Congrats on 3 years! Love that sweet little face of Max’s. The quilt is lovely. Your blog is such a sweet inspiration to me!
I love your site. I love your style. I admire you doing with your life what you enjoy. Your new addition is precious, as is your pleasant attitude. Thanks for the chance to win such a gorgeous quilt!

looking forward to future posts!

(does my post not count since we ae friends??)
I love looking at the simple lines of your quilts. Your tastes in quilting are very similar to mine. Nothing fancy, just simple and cute. I also love your pictures. And your Max is super precious!
I started following your blog because I really like the modern style of your quilts. It inspires me to try new things and to branch out from the standard patchwork style. I would love to read more about mixing prints. For me, that’s the most challenging aspect of quilting.
Beautiful quilt. Congrats on the milestones!
Congrats on the blog anniversary! I love reading your blog and I would feel so lucky to win one of your quilts. From reading your blog I’ve decided that I want to try and make strip quilt — I only hope it turns out half a great as one of yours. Thanks for the inspiration!
happy blogiversary, ashley! I would love a tutorial for sashed blocks set on point.
beautiful quilt! i love your blog and love seeing pictures of your beautiful little family! Happy Anniversary.
Congrats on 3 years! I adore your blog. It is very inspiring!!! (Max is sooo cute!)
Love the quilt…and I’ve never owned any AMH so that would be a treat for me!
Congrats on the three years and for Max turning eight weeks. Love seeing his cute face on your quilts.
Congratulations on 3 years of blogging! More importantly congratulations on 8 weeks! The quilt is beautiful as area all of your creations.
sometimes I think I don’t really like Innocent Crush, but I really love the colors of this quilt.
Max is just so cute.
Beautiful quilt! And Happy Anniversary! Max is such a cutie! I love it when you post tutorials!
3 years…congratulations! I love your blog and your work is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing your creativity and your darling little family.
Beautiful quilt! I can’t believe how much you’ve accomplished in just three years.
Great blog, beautiful quilts, and wonderful photography. Congratulations!
This is a beautiful quilt! Your little Max is adorable too!
Wow, what a fabulous giveaway! While I love all of your posts, I especially love the ones where you share the process of making a quilt from concept to design to sewing to quilt. Thanks for sharing your life with us!
I love the blog as it is and Congratulations on your milestones.
Happy Blog-iversary!
Congrats on three years! And Max is so cute!
I always am inspired by your quilts, you always do beautiful work.
Happy Anniversary!!!
love come here for lots and lots of beautiful inspiration and see your adorable little guy!
thanks for the chance to win that amazing quilt!!! hope be the lucky one!
Happy three year anniversary to FITF, and happy eight weeks b-day to Max! There’s always something to inspire me on your blog. And I just love the name, because I remember when I used to keep my film in the fridge!
I have read your blog since the beginning – has been really fun to see photos of The max as he grows – too darned cute !!
What a great giveaway! My favorite things about your blog are (in no particular order): 1) block tutorials, 2) unexpected mixes of patterns and colors, and 3) baby pictures. So a post on how you select your fabrics for a particular quilt might be fun, together with a tutorial using those selections, then a photo of Max sitting on the final product!
That little Max is edible, and that quilt is just divine!
Congrats! The pictures you take of Max are so beautiful! I have a 10week old and my pictures never look as great as yours.
Congrats on your milestones! I love seeing your quilting ideas. I would love to hear more about how you chose your fabric combinations.
Your quilts have been such an inspiration to me. I enjoy reading your blog and following you on your quilting journey. So happy for you on the arrival of Max – what a cutie!
It’s been a pleasure to be with you since almost the beginning.
PS If I win, I hope you don’t mind if I donate the quilt to Quilts Recover.
It’s crazy that it’s been three years — I feel like I just started reading your blog yesterday, but then again, that would be a lot of quilts to make in a short amount of time. I’ve really enjoyed seeing what you come up with next and have found lots of inspiration here that works it’s way into my own sewing. I’m also amazed at how productive you are — with my own new little guy turning three weeks old today, I’m in awe that you’re already back at the machine and turning out new things. What a lucky baby to have so many lovely homemade things. Thanks for sharing your amazing creations here!
congrats to you for your anniversary and Happy 8 weeks to Max!
congrats Ashley! I’d love to see more little sewing projects…like your summer tops!
oh, oh! the chance to win one of your beautiful quilts! I can’t resist entering.
Your proficiency and prolificness (I did look that up, and that’s the noun form! (yes, I am a word nerd…)) are a constant inspiration to me! You’re still sewing even with a new baby! You’re my hero! I hope that I will be able to keep up with my crafting and sewing like you. Congratulations on your milestones
Wow, I can’t believe you’re giving away a quilt. Beautiful! I love reading your blog. I wish I could finish as many quilts as you do, and Max is just adorable! Congrats on three years.
I love this tutorial! I made a quilt using it from fruit and veggie fabric! I would love to win your quilt, it is gorgeous!
Congratulations on your 3 years in the blogging world. Your blog is one of the first ones I read in te morning. Love seeing your quilts and of course pictures of Max.
Hi Ashley, not sure if I’ve ever left a comment before but have been following your blog for quite a while now (probably 1+ years.) I love your quilts and all the awesome fabrics you pair together! I was so excited to hear the news you were pregnant and are so happy for you and your husband to have cute little Max! Congrats on three years!
Happy Blogaversary Ashley! Max is the cutest, maybe someday he & little Olivia & Lucy can meet while we have a quilt party!
What a generous giveaway. As other commenters have noted, your blog is fantastic as is: a great mix of tutorials, finished quilt inspiration, a little garment sewing, and of course super-cute baby pics! Thanks for sharing what you do.
I am just in the beginning stages of starting to quilt, and my friend sent me a link to your blog as inspiration. I definitely found inspiration! That quilt is beautiful — I’ll definitely be checking out the tutorial! Thanks so much for the opportunity to win it. Congratulations on three years of blogging and on your cutie patootie son!
Congrats on that gorgeous little boy – and ENJOY him, they really do grow up too fast. Love your quilts – I’ve been at it 1-1/1 years and LOVE it!! It’s fun isn’t it, seeing all those little pieces come together into something so beautiful!!!
Congrats to you, your quilts are always so beautiful! And max is adorable!
Congratulations on your blog anniversary and your beautiful baby! Yours was the first quilt blog I ever read and I love it! Thanks for the chance to win.

Love your blog, and that quilt is beautiful!
Happy Blog Anniversary to you! Absolutely love your quilts and tutorials!
Wow! You sure have accomplished a lot in 3 years. Love the quilts, I use them for inspiration sometimes. Your son is just precious, we had our first and only almost a year ago, and just found out my SIL is going to have her second child, this quilt would be a great gift for her! Thanks for all the inspiration and keep up the pics of that adorable little guy!!
Love your blog. You have inspired me to be able to quilt knowing that you have a baby and are able to find time to do all the projects you do. Love the quilt you are giving away. Who wouldn’t want to be wrapped up in an “innocent crush”. The backs of your quilts inspire me as well to be creative with my scraps.
Congrats on both milestones! Your work is actually what drew my attention to modern quilting in the first place. (Postcards in the Park haunts me to this day!) So, THANK YOU for being such an inspirational part of this great new community I’ve discovered. It’s a joy to log into my Google Reader and find a new post from you. Thanks for taking the film OUT of the fridge and sharing with us all. Best of luck for another great 3 years!
Congratulations on 3 years! I’ve only recently found your site, but am so inspired! Thank you! Also, your baby is adorable!
Love this quilt and your blog! And congrats on the beautiful baby boy!!
I love your blog! I would love to see more posts about sewing with a little one, I have 4 kids and never seem to find the time! (although my littlest is 3 weeks).
. Thanks for the giveaway!
I used to surf the web for quilt images (the modern day equivalent to flipping through quilt books at the library and bookstore, lol). One day, I realized that my favorite quilts were done by the same person – you! Which led me to your blog…and more quilts to love. Thank you for sharing yourself with us. By the way, I introduced my sister to your blog and she promptly fell madly in love with the very quilt you are offering. I guess I would have to give it to her if I won it, lol.
Congratulations on your anniversary! I have loved this quilt since you first posted about it and have had the tutorial bookmarked forever … but have yet to attempt making one! Thank you for such a generous giveaway!
Congrats on 3 years of blogging and 8 weeks with Max. I think I found your blog about 6 months after you started it and proceeded to spend the afternoon reading every single post. Your quilts are fresh and fun, but also accessible and do-able. In fact I made a version of the quilt you’re giving away as a baby gift for a good friend this winter. I’d sure love a quilt of my own, however
Yours was the first quilt blog I stumbled upon when I was trying to teach myself to quilt. I still LOVE your style and find inspiration here constantly! Congrats on your milestone!

I love your quilts. They are so modern and fabulous!! You are really talented.
I would be so excited to win one!!
I must admit that I wasn’t completely convinced about this whole quilt thing until I came across your blog! Now I am an avid follower and am planning some quilts of my own (based off yours!) Thank you!
I love your blog – happy anniversary! And that quilt is gorgeous – what a wonderful giveaway!
Congrats on 3 years of blogging! The quilt is lovely.
Congrats on three years! And Max is such a cutie – that hair!
I love how your blog is a family affair…from your husband holding up the quilts while you photograph them or sitting by your side as a supportive presence through to baby Max modelling on your quilts…you are a wonderful, calming and inspiring family unit…
Congrats on the milestone! I’ve been blogging on and off for about five years now. It’s fun and challenging to keep up with it!
Hi Ashley,
I am not sure whether I’ve commented before, but I’ve been reading your blog for several months (and actually worked my way back for a couple of years of entries…though not all the way to the beginning yet). I find your blog completely inspirational, plus it has led me into all of the other modern quilting blogs. I bought my first Kona solids the other day (they should be arriving next week), and I’m so excited to try a lot of the techniques/concepts that I’ve read here. I hope you’ll just keep on with what you are doing…you are fantastic! Congrats on 3 years!
–Elle
P.S. I’m a horrible blogger, but I mentioned your blog as being inspirational on my blog…and I’m hoping to do better about posting and photography after seeing how much enjoyment I get from every one of your new posts!
This is an incredible giveaway! I absolutely love AMH, so I would love to win…Thanks for the opportunity!
I love this quilt! I especially love Innocent Crush! All your quilts are gorgeous and I’d love to see more of them on the blog. Just keep on doing what you’re doing, you’re an inspiration. Thanks for the generous giveaway.
Happy Anniversary!! I love seeing your quilts – they are the exact style I love! And Max is adorable! So, more pictures of quilts and of Max please!!
Congratulations on the blogiversary! Thanks for the giveaway- that is such a beautiful quilt.
Three years! Congrats. Your work is fantastic. I love hearing little tricks to the trade. Little things that may seem obvious to you, but that might be helpful to those with less experience. That’s all I can think to mention. Really you do a great job here in this spot of yours! Best wishes!!!
Oh my goodness….what a generous giveaway! And HAPPY THREE YEARS!!
When I look at your blog (and other lovely quilting blogs) I always love to see beautiful inspiration…and quilting tips I might not have come up with on my own. haha
Thank you!
Congratulations on 3 years of wonderful blogging! I have been a reader for a long time and have you saved in my favs!
That quilt is super gorgeous! I’ve only made 3, but I know how much time (and love) is put into each one. I love all the inspiration on the blog. Keep up the fantastic work! Thanks for all you do.
I always enjoy looking at your blog and seeing your wonderful creations. I have also enjoyed watching you prepare for and bring about your newest little creation… Mr. Max. Thanks for letting us into this precious part of your life.
I’m always so happy to see a post from you pop up on my Google Reader! I like that your posts are heavy on beautiful pictures, lighter on text. Which means I can dash in for a peak, even while at work (shhhhh, don’t tell). There’s always a splash of inspiration, and these days bonus beautiful baby boy shots. Thanks for continuing to post, even in this busy, exhausting time. Congrats on 3 years and 8 weeks!
I really enjoy looking through your blog archives. Every time I do, I find another quilt that I just love! Here’s to many more–blog posts and quilts!
mcglen8 [at] gmail [dot] com
Very generous giveaway! I don’t think it gets any easier to find time as they get older either!
I have been reading your blog for a long time now – and I can’t think of anything I would want you to change! Congrats on your blogoversary…and on Max’s 8 weeks birthday
He is just adorable. I’d love the chance to win this quilt – AMH is my favorite designer…and I love lavenders
I love your blog. Congrats on the three year anniversary. Here’s hoping for many more years!
Congratulations on your anniversary, little Max and your work. I enjoy looking at your blog and have learned a lot from you. Because of a health condition, I haven’t been able to sew at all for a while but that hasn’t stopped me from making plans. I love the quilt that you are giving away and would love to have it! Thanks for the giveaway!
Congrats on 3 years! I love the pictures of the babies, babies with quilts, etc. so keep ‘em coming! (my baby is just a couple weeks older than max!)
You have inspired me over the last 2 years to make the most of my scraps with your string quilts. Happy Blogaversary. I don’t know how you find the time with little Max, you are amazing.
Mandy
Congratulations! I love reading your blog. You seem to get so much done. What’s your secret?
Wow, that is so generous of you to give away such a gorgeous quilt! Congrats on your blogiversary – I haven’t been following you anywhere near that long, and I mostly follow through flickr, but you have been a tremendous source of inspiration in that time, and I can’t wait to see what you make next!
Oooh well done for hitting the 3 year mark!
Obviously I’d love to win your beautiful quilt but even if I don’t I know I can find the tutorial to make one myself and thats the thing that pulled me to your blog in the first place – Your tutorials, I think they are tony the tiger great!
Have a great weekend
You have been inspiring me all three of those years
What a generous and wonderful giveaway! It’s my 1st wedding anniversary on Monday, so this would be a super-bonus!
What a beautiful quilt! Thank you for sharing. I’ll use this as an opportunity to say how cute your little man is when he sleeps with his arms over his head. It makes my heart smile when you post those pictures. I didn’t want to be creepy, so I never said anything. But since you asked… ;0). Congrats on your anniversary!
Wow – I’m blown away by your generosity. What an amazing giveaway. For my comment, I’d leave you with my favorite mommy trick – crib should always have 3 layers of linens – a waterproof pad and a sheet. Then another pad and another sheet. And yet another set. It’ll save your sanity during a 2am blowout or tummy trouble when you just have to pull up the top layer and you have a freshly made bed underneath. Happy 8 week birthday, sweet boy!
AMH is my most favorite designer! You always put together such lovely quilts. And your little guy is so so cute! I like when you post pictures of him with the quilts
Happy Bloggavirsary!!
You certainly have inspired alot of people over the years and I look forward to all that is to come.
Happy blogiversary to you and big hugs to Max – what a sweetie!
Hugs,
Kerry
Don’t those milestones always sneak up on us? Congrats on 3 years, 8 weeks, and many more!
What a gorgeous quilt and Happy Blogiversary!!! You have an amazing blog that give so much inspiration….just keep on doing what you are doing…it is wonderful.
Wow! Amazing giveaway. I love your blog. I’m perfectly content with the content.
Wow! Three years is quite an accomplishment! Congratulations on a big anniversary and on your adorable son, it’s been a big year for you!
You are one of the first bloggers I started reading, and you have provided me with piles of inspiration, encouragement and courage to strike out into the sewing and blogging worlds – thank you! And thank you for putting together such an amazing and generous giveaway!
WOW thanks for a chance to win this quilt. It’s so pretty and I love AMH. I would love if you would do some post about photography. One thing I love about your blog is the pictures you take of your quilts. I tend to be so excited to share what I’ve been working on that I don’t really want to wait to take “good” pictures. But I would love some hints and tips for taking some that are better than a shot in the dark corner of my sewing room.
Love your blog Ashley. I especially love your tutorials. Happy 8 weeks Max!
Look at that head of hair! My kids were bald until they were three…lol
Congrats on your blog-iversary! I love this quilt and fabric line.
Congrats on hitting the 3-year mark! Exciting milestones! And that Max? Well he’s just adorable. I love seeing your quilts…I’m looking forward to seeing what you do next!
I have followed your blog for a long time but rarely comment (busy with my 12 week old too)
I find your quilts so inspiring and love the littel pics of Max too! I often find myself drooling over your quilts in the shop, they are beatiful and I would love to have this in my home! Congrats on three years and on the baby boy…looking forward to start quilting again myself – if I can pull myself away from my little girl
I don’t have much purple fabric either… but those are such lovely prints! Congratulations & thanks for the chance!
Yay!!! On three years!! It has been so inspiring reading your blog!
Congratulations! Beautiful quilt! I love following your blog!
I LOVE Anna Marie Horner and I LOVE your quilts. What an awesome giveaway!
Congratulations on both milestones! Max is adorable!
What a lovely quilt and blog. Congrats on your Blogs anniversary!
Wow! What a great giveaway! I love your blog and it always inspires me. Happy blogaversary!
Ashley- Your site was one of the first I saw almost two years ago that inspired me to begin quilting. Although I haven’t been as industrious as you in finishing my projects, I still look here to get “the scoop” first on new techniques or to get ideas for the latest projects. Please, keep up the awesome work (and snuggle that cutie!). Here’s to another three years!
Maggie
Wow! 3 Years! Thanks for continuing to share. Your quilts are inspiring. And Max is too cute!
I love visiting your blog! Your quilts are beautiful and your son is adorable!
I love your site. Your work. Your photos of your work. I guess if I had to request more of something, it’d be tutorials and/or patterns.
I never win. I’m horrible at it, actually. But if I happen to win, i plan on raffling the quilt over on my blog and sending the proceeds to aid the relief efforts in Joplin.
Happy anniversary!
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary! Happy 8 weeks to Max. The quilt is gorgeous.
I love your blog. You are one of the ones that pops up in my reader that I go for right away. I can’t believe you have only been at this for three years, though! You go girl. You sure do know how to make a splash!
Enjoy your time with Max, it goes so quickly. My little girl Mikaela is 19 weeks old already and I can hardly believe how much she has changed.
I found your blog shortly before your son was born and have thoroughly enjoyed your photos of your cutie and looking back at all your gorgeous quilts.
I love your blog! You have such awesome talent, and you give me a ton of inspiration! Your little man is adorable, and he is so lucky to have a crafty mama.
I love your blog, so thank you for continuing to write it! My next quilt top is going to be a string quilt based on your tutorial
Congratulations on 3 years! And on adorable Max. I love your stuff, and have actually been planning to totally copy this quilt. How great would it be to win it instead? You are so generous.
happy blogiversary. and if i win, it will be just in time for my birthday!
Wow – so generous to give away a quilt. I’ve always admired this one and have the block tutorial bookmarked in my “quilt to make” file. Thanks for 3 great years of quilts and inspiration!
Congratulations! I also love the green binding. Max is lovely. Please, run your fingers through his fabulous hair an extra time for us.
congrats on the 3 years of blogging! i’d love to see more quilts & more clothes (baby or otherwise) … and more baby!
Little Max is so adorable!!! I love your quilts and your blog. It suits me to a tee! Thanks.
Hi there,
Your blog has inspired me because, like me, you’ve been sewing a relatively short time. You’re not afraid to try new things and it makes me want to branch out a bit. I especially love your random quilt backs – how fun to bend the rules! I’d love to see more tutorials on “other” things. I love the market bag – I’ve made about 4 now!
Keep it up!
Francine
Awww what a cutie! I wish mine still stayed still! Still loving your blog and currently working on one of your starburst quilts – slowly!
Happy Anniversary! I am amazed at how much sewing you get done with a baby, my machine was untouched for a while when I had my first one…
Yours is the first quilting blog I have ever joined because I love your choice of colors and I feel kind of neighborly. (Mainer) It’s been wonderful to watch you prepare for your child and to see his growth as well. Congratulations!
I enjoy your blog so much! Congratulations on your anniversary. By the way, I love that green binding too!
Ashley… one of your tutorials was THE first quilt I ever made! (The bento box one…) (Does it count that it’s not technically finished yet??) I love the tute for the AMH quilt and have some fabrics that I can use to make a birthday quilt for my daughter this year (she’s been asking for one for over a year… considering she’s only (almost) 4, that’s most of her life!) Max is a cutie… and he has such good backgrounds for photographing!
Happy Anniversary!! I can’t believe you’re giving away one of your gorgeous quilts! Hooray!!
Congratulations on both great milestones. Purple is my favorite color, so this quilt really appeals to me. Thanks for the giveaway and have a wonderful weekend.
Happy Anniversary! Max is too cute!
Congrats! I want you to know that you inspired me to start quilting several years ago. Thanks for that inspiration and all the inspiration since then. Michelle
Max is adorable. I love the quilt and happy blogiversary.

Happy Blogiversary. One of my daughters is going to love this quilt. Thanks for the generous give away.
Congrats! I’m a knitter who’s in awe of your quilting skills! I’ve been following along since I stumbled upon your tutorial for the Orla Kiely bag (which made a fantastic knitting project bag). Thank you so much for the lovely inspiration!
Congratulations on three years!
Congrats Ashley!! Love your blog and your quilts and Max is very sweet.
Gorgeous! Congrats on your blogiversary, and your beautiful son, Max! I am a novice quilter, but a pro-mom of 3 boys under the age of 5. Your blog is always delightfully inspiring. Thanks for the eye candy!
I love the quilt and your blog. I used to live in VT and sadly miss it quite a lot. I love that you take the time to photograph your quilts in front of old barns or on the lake, I enjoy seeing the beautiful quilt and the VT backgrounds. Your little one is a cutie too. Thanks again for a wonderful blog!
I Love all of your quilts. It inspired me to start quilting too.
You’ve really inspired me.. Thanks!
Congratulations on your blog anniversary! Your quilts are simply amazing and I just love the sweet photos of Max.
I love all your tutorials. And your pictures. You are very inspiring and have inspired many of my quilts! I love everything on your blog! Thanks for the chance!
I love this blog! I love the tutorials and all of the beautiful quilts that you make. More recently I like seeing the pictures of your adorable baby with his baby quilts in the background. How wonderful it will be for him to look back on his childhood and have such a colourful history.
Hi Ashley! I cant’ believe you’ve been blogging for only three years. I’ve been reading for about two years. You’ve really inspired my sewing in so many ways and I know I haven’t said it before but thank you for doing what you do… even though I do blame you for my AMH addiction!
Happy 8 weeks, Max! What a cutie pie!
I love your blog because you whip out as many quilts as I dream of making, and it helps to get me motivated! Thank you for always sharing all you do!!
Congratulations on 3 years as a blogger AND 8 weeks as Max’ Mama. Definitely reasons to celebrate!
Happy 3 years and 8 week celebrations!
I bet you’re enjoying feeling a little bit more back to normal… or, as normal as possible with a newborn!
Beautiful Quilt and a Beautiful Baby. Congrats on the 3 year bloggiversary and thank you for the chance to win such a wonderful quilt … love the green binding.
Love your website! I’m so inspired by your quilts!! Thanks for such a great giveaway! Happy blogiversary!
Congratulations on your milestone! I’m a long time reader of your blog and always love getting to stop here to see what you are up to. I know they are a lot of work, and with a little baby probably impossible, but I do love your tutorials. You have a great eye for design and color and your instructions are easy to follow!
Happy Quilting!
I love this quilt and the pattern. I used the tutorial to make a queen size quilt for my granddaughter – I modified to a larger size block and used black instead of white. AND I love your blog!
That’s a pretty amazing giveaway. I loved that quilt since you first posted it! So pretty!
Congrats on three years! I’d love your quilts and, of course, I’d love to see more of Max! He makes me smile
That green binding caught my eye right away – sweet. Thanks for the inspiring blog.
Wow, that quilt is amazing. congrats on 3 years 7 baby’s 8 weeks. I love lots of quilt pictures and pictures of little Max too. I have 3 boys and he looks very much like them when they were babies. Thanks for great giveaway.
It’s amazing how fast time flies. It will go even faster with little Max around! I can’t believe my baby boy is nearly 11mo– seems like yesterday he was 8 weeks! I love this quilt of yours; was just about to start my version of it!
Wow, congratulations, Ashley! Your blog is a constant source of eye candy and inspiration for me, and I always look forwarding to reading your blog. Happy 8-week-birthday to adorable little Max as well!
Love the quilt, love your blog, & Max is such a cutie…I hope we get to keep seeing pictures of him!
You truly are an inspiration to my quilting! I found your blog when I googled “scrap quilts” and have been hooked for the past 2 years. Thank-you for the chance to win the beautiful quilt!
I enjoy reading your blog and am amazed at how much you accomplish. Thank you for an amazing giveaway.
Your blog has provided wonderful bonding between a dear friend & myself. We met in Minnesota & bonded over sewing. When she discovered your blog we poured over it & would tell each other to look at various quilts you’d made that we “discovered.” She has since moved to Texas & we’ve also both had babies in the last year but I love that this blog of yours (happy anniversary!) has been an awesome bridge for us and now we’re all sharing in the collective joy of little boys!
Happy Blogaversary! I love your quilts… and admire how often you complete projects. I have lots of good ideas… but often lack the motivation to start and finish them.
Love your blog, your creativity, and artistry! You are one extremely talented quilter and may I say the mom of one of the most photogenic babies. Max is adorable and you seem to capture one great expression after another. I am a therapist who works with a lot of babies and he is VERY cute!
I love your use of solids and prints. I have enjoyed reading and seeing little Max. what a cutie!
Three years of lovely quilts and photos, lots more please. Max is pretty gorgeous too!
What a beautiful quilt – I love reading your blog! Congratulations on the 3 year milestone
Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway! I would love to hear more about your brainstorming sessions when you make patterns. Keep up the great blogging!
Happy 3 year anniversary to you! I love your blog and am continuously amazed by your creations! Here’s to another 3 (or 50) years!
Happy Anniversary! I’ve been reading for about a year now, and I find your blog very inspiring. I have two little kiddos myself, and I find it hard to find time to sew (especially when the second came along!), but I love to sew and quilt as well. My projects never look as professional as yours, but I sure enjoy the process! Keep up the great work, and keep those posts about Max coming- he is as nice to read about as the quilts!
Gefeliciteerd with three years of blogging. Look back at all that happened in those years. You have given so many so much inspiration.
Congratulations on your bloggiversary!
I love reading your blog…this is the first quilting blog I ever read, and I still love it!
beautiful quilts. can’t get the picnic quilt out of my mind. must make one.
thanks for the blogging. you add so much beauty to my day!
Holy-moly… I love this one! I also love all of you great tutorials, I’ve followed quite a few and they’re always so thought out! Thank you, thank you!

Max is adorable, congrats on 3 years and blessings to you!
Congratulations on your 3-year blogaversary!
Love your work, it is so beautiful!
happy 3 years! and happy 8 weeks, max! I’ve loved seeing your quilts over the years.. i think my favorite is the pattern that you did for the stacked seating quilt. i still have that on my to-do list!
I look forward to checking your blog everyday! And your little guy is so precious!
Congrats on the 2 milestones!
Love your quilts, they are an inspiration!
Congratulations! What a great giveaway. I love your blog and would LOVE a chance to win one of your quilts!!
Ashley, I suppose you know you are going to receive a gazillion comments on this post, right? That quilt is beautiful, no two ways about it.
I will say I’ve loved frequenting your blog. I’ve learned so much about quilting from reading. I also have about a half dozen ideas baking in my head about what to do next based just on reading this blog.
I’ve even tried piecing the back of a quilt using all sorts of randomness. Let’s just say you do a much better job than I do! I’m not giving up, I’ll try again….
And, once my sister tells me that she is expecting a baby I’m going to be sure to make at least ones strip quilt. I plan to do the quilting myself as well.
I think that is one thing I”m taking away from your blog, I can indeed try to quilt something myself. I have a top all ready to baste and quilt, now I just need to work up the courage…..
Finally, some day I am going to make a string quilt……. Yours is stunning and I NEED one.
congrats!! awesome giveaway but I have to say that your little guy is so stinkin cute! I mean really he is a cutie… oh yea you already know that:) would love to win something purple… my oldest daughter says purple is my favorite color because she gets pink! lol
Thank you for coloring the world!
Your blog was one of the first ones I came across when I discovered blogs out there on my computer & I’ve probably followed about 2 of your 3 years. I’ve always wondered why you named it Film in the Fridge-I know photographers did keep their film cold, but always wondered why a sewing blog is so named. Or were you a photographer in your former life?
Happy Anniversary!
I always enjoying seeing your work, and your baby boy.
Thanks so much for blogging your adventures in sewing! I’ve been following for about 2 years now (when I started sewing) and you’ve been such an inspiration in my own adventures. Thanks for all the photos, tutorials, fabulous ideas and links to fabric stores and other blogs … you’ve really made a huge difference … THANKS SO MUCH (honestly, I feel like I should make you a quilt)!
Congrats on three years! I love seeing pictures of Max!!! He’s so cute, especially with all that hair!
I’ve enjoyed reading your blog and seeing all your projects. I’d love to see more pictures of that adorable Max, and tutorials are always fun and informative. Thanks!
WOW! Let’s see…CONGRATULATIONS on 8 weeks with Max! YOU should be feeling pretty well by now! Congratulations on a 3 year blogiversary and a beautiful quilt!!! Life is GOOD!
Thank you so much for continuing to be an inspiration – I’ve been reading your blog for years and I never tire of it. I’ve been so impressed at all you’ve managed to accomplish while pregnant, but welcoming your son into your lives. I wish I could get done half of what you accomplish! Congratulations on three years of blogging! I wouldn’t change a thing!
Ashley, I just have to tell you how very much you inspire me. When I started sewing I swore I would never quilt. Now it is all that I want to do. Your style in quilts is exactly what I needed to see to find how fun and modern quilting can actually be. I only have one finished quilt under my belt (well technically I didn’t do the quilting) but now I have about 14 more in the works already. I can’t wait to try some pieced backing on the one I’m currently working on. It was one of those “why didn’t I think of that” moments when I first starting seeing them on your blog. So simple, yet I think it adds so much to the quilt! Thanks for sharing with us!
And as for that quilt, I’m just in love with it. Purple is my favorite color and for some reason I hardly have any of it in my stash. It seems like it’s a hard color to find sometimes. Thanks for the chance to win, and thank you so much for this blog, it’s my favorite!
I adore your blog! I believe yours is the first sewing/quilting blog I read & loved. You had me hooked with all your beautiful bright quilts! Congrats on 3 years!
Ps. I am a purple fan & would be honored to win this beautiful quilt!
Love your blog and watching you have fun with your little darling!
Congratulations. I find your blog so inspirational. That’s a lovely quilt too!
Congratulations on 3 years! I think my 3 year might be coming up soon, too! Gah! Such a lovely quilt… I’d love for you to post more on technique, your favorite tools, and BABY CLOTHING!
My little guy needs some handmade clothes… but *simple* patterns that a non-clothing maker can descipher
LOVE your blog… and little Max is a doll!
Congratulations on 3 years of blogging! I always enjoy reading your blog.
HaPpY 3 years to you and HaPpY 8 weeks to Max!!!
No suggestions from me…I love the new balance of quilts and baby
I wish you many more years of blogging. Thank you for the inspiration and for the chance to win this lovely quilt.
Happy day!
Loving all of the inspiring things you’ve been doing! Thank you for your blog! Congrats on 3 yrs and your sweet little boy!!
Happy blogiversary! Thanks for the chance to win.
I love your blog! I love your beautiful quilts! I love seeing pictures of your adorable new Max! Big Congrats on a great site!
What a gorgeous baby boy and quilt! I love seeing all of your quilts, and especially love that you didn’t start sewing till just a few years ago like me! I’m always intimidated by the people who have been sewing all their lives!
Happy 3rd Blog-a-versary! You and your work have been such an inspiration to me as a newbie quilter. Thank you!
I love the inspiration I find on your blog. Your use of color and design inspire me to quilt. I think you have a fairly well rounded blog and I love seeing pictures of Max!
lindsay dot forgette at gmail dot com
Hey Ashley! I read your blog since the beginning… And I have to confess that the name is so cool! I guess because I used to keep my films (long time back….) also in the fridge!
I love your quilts, mainly since they are very mathematical and modern (I cannot deal with round stuff and lots of heavy fabric ;o)). And I learned that white brings so much fun into quilts…
If you are also sewing clothes, I would love to see more (you used to post some dresses you made!)
Keep doing it! You are so talented!
xoxoxo Flávia
Happy Blogiversary!! I’m a frequent visitor and love the inspiration you’ve given! So often a dark or dreary day has been perked up by your colorful sewing! And congrats on Max’s birth! I look forward to seeing lots of “boy” sewing (I have 3 boys)
Your quilts are amazing and your blog is so inspiring. Thanks for all the tutorials and tips. Max is darling.
your quilts are gorgeous and inspiring! congrats on your blog-versary! thank you for sharing with us!
What a generous gesture! Your quilt backings inspired a quilt I made for Japan tsunami children. Your baby is gorgeous and so new. My baby is already a year old, so chubby and delicious but not small anymore.
Wow- 3 years! I really enjoy your blog – have for over 2 of those 3 years… I’m always amazed by your quilts. Happy 8 weeks to the little one!
Happy milestone, Max and blog! I have really appreciated your tutorials and would love to see more of these as you get the chance. Also, Max is pretty cute so show us as much of him as you want!
Thanks!
Congrats on 3 years! I have loved following your sewing adventures, as I too started as self taught shortly after you did (though by no means a proficient or prolific!). My baby boy turned 3 weeks yesterday, so we are sharing that journey as well.
Happy Anniversary! I’m not sure how I first stumbled onto your blog but it is very inspiring to me. In fact, I used your tutorial to make my very first quilt block! (string quilt) I check on you at least a few times a week and really appreciate the inspiration. Thanks for a chance to win!
The baby and quilt are so cute! I would love to have one of your creations!
This quilt is so pretty! I would love more pictures of quilts – front, back and zoom in on quilting pattern!
Your son is so cute!! I love your photos of him, and I agree that every quilt looks better with a cute baby sitting on it.
Your blog is one of my favorites. Thanks for the giveaway!
Rachel Horton
Oh, Ashley! What a generous giveaway. You are my go-to spot for inspiration. More of the same, please.
I love your blog and quilts! You are my most favorite quilty blogger
And Max has the same hair that my son did! He just came right out with hip, stylish hair that looked so cute, effortlessly. Meanwhile I’m still doing a messy ponytail every day, ha. But yeah, Max is a super cutie and I enjoy pictures of him on quilts especially!
Congrats on 3 years!
Happy blogging anniversary! And happy eight week birthday to Max! I’d love to adopt him as a grandbaby…he’s adorable! Thanks for all you do.
Such a beautiful quilt as always! Max is getting cuter and cuter and I love his pants.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for the awesome tutorials you have put up. I am planning on making my own bedding for my new dorm next year and it’s nice to have some tried and true tricks (pillowcases and quilts).. so thank you :] Plus I love seeing all your new quilts and fabric choices!
Happy Anniversary!
Congratulations on both of those milestones
Always good to read posts from you.
And what a lovely quilt
I love reading your blog. Your quilts are beautiful so is your baby.

Wow – 3 years! I’ve been following you for at least a year and am going to have my first blogaversery in a short while. Your work and posts are such a great inspiration. I can’t imagine how excited I would be to win one of your quilts!! Thanks for all you contribute to the online quilting community!
Congratulations, three years that’s quite a milestone!! I’d give your beautiful quilt a very loving home
What a beautiful quilt! I love reading up on what you are doing, and seeing photos of your gorgeous little boy. Take care!

Congratulations on you blog anniversary. I love your blog and quilt designs.
Your quilts are amazing. I would love to have one of your beautiful creations. Thank you for the opportunity
Your blog is awesome! It’s inspired me to get more into quilting and I’ve stole of few of your ideas for my own projects. Thanks for the inspiration!
You are an excellent crafting mom role model. My little one is 11 weeks old & I’m impressed by how much you still get done. I’m currently intimidated to sew all my rows together for a queen size quilt but will tackle it while my husband is home this weekend. Max is adorable – I’m looking forward to seeing what clothing patterns you choose for him as he gets older.
Three Years! It is amazing to think what you have accomplished in just three years… I mean you have even had quilts at Quilt Market. I can’t tell you how inspiring your blog has been in my own little foray into sewing. I love your use of clean lines as well as your confidence and sense of adventure when sewing. Thanks for the chance to win one of your quilts!
What a beautiful quilt and generous giveaway! Thanks for all the beautiful inspiration you share on your blog.
You are giving a quilt away? Um, that would be this quilt nerd’s dream come true!
Your quilts are some of the most wonderful clean, modern designs on the web. I would love the priveledge of having one in my house.
Congrats on you anniversery.
I had my 10 year wedding anniversery yesterday as well as my birthday. I know, it’s stupid to get married on your birthday but at least my hubbie don’t forget ;o))
Thanks for offering this beautiful quilt! And many more thanks for all the quilting inspiration you provide. Your blog is one of my favorites.
And before you know it- Max will be three. It goes by soo fast. Thanks for sharing!!!! And to think it only seems like it was yesterday that I started to read your blog.
I love your quilts – they’re beautiful!
Congrats on 3 years. I love this quilt and it is next on my list of patterns to try. I love all the inspiration you provide!
Hello,
What an incredible giveaway!
I don’t feel like I should really be in with a chance of winning one of your stunning quilts as I have never left a comment here before. I have only recently discovered your blog & am in awe of your quilt creations and the speed at which you seem to churn them out!
So, even though I’ve never commented here, there’s always a time to start! Thankyou for sharing your creative gift with the world : )
I love your blog just the way it is. Quilts and more quilts — however you like to do them — with little bits of adorable baby and a sprinkle of cute husband every once in a while.
Congratulations to you, and thanks for 3 years of inspiring posts! My baby is 12 weeks, so it’s been extra-fun to follow you lately!
Wow what a generous give away. Love the quilt. Was inspired by your strip quilts to help a friend make her first quilt like this. She loved it, so much she didn’t want to give it away like she originally planned.
Happy 3 years of blogging!! Love your blog and patterns!! This quilt is awesome!!
Your quilts are amazing! I’ve made one smallish quilt and it took me forever, so I am in awe of how many you are able to complete! Congrats on 3 years of blogging!
I’m not really a purple fan either, but I LOVED this quilt when you first posted it! It inspired me to make my first real sized quilt for my daughters bed. And though it got changed up a lot (and no looks nothing like this at all) it was my original inspiration! Happy 3 years blogging, and Happy 8 weeks to le bebe!
Your blog was one of the first ones I started reading when my sister and I got serious about quilting and started blogging… you have such lovely quilts and now its fun to see your family grow. Congrats on your 3 years of blogging!
It has been so fun to watch all you have created these past three years. You are an inspiration and just keep doing what you do. Thanks for the opportunity and continued success.
Congrats on 3 years of blogging-your projects are amazing and very inspiring for me! Have a great weekend
Congrats on these milestones! And wow, Max has a lot of hair! He is so adorable.
Thanks for giving away a quilt – it would match my purple couch!! Congrats on 3 years of blogging! So much inspiration…

Congratulations on three years! Your blog is a creative inspiration for me – thank you!
Wow. Three years. You were a fairly new blogger when I found you almost 2 years ago. You were one of the blogs I silently followed, faithfully read and drooled over when I began my new mid-life hobby. I continue to follow, but now I am not too timid to post. hehehe Congratulations – on your bloggy anniversary and your sweet little man’s first 8 weeks. Hugs and many thanks!
One of the first blogs I open up every day!! I love what you do and Max-he is adorable! Thanks for sharing your talent!
I have been reading your blog for a few years and I just love your quilts. I am also amazed at how much you get done with that cute baby around!

Your blog is one of the first I ever started following when I discovered flickr & sewing blogland a little over a year ago! Your quilts are always inspiring, the designs always show off the patterns and color schemes in a way that is so fresh. Max is adorable, too – love seeing a baby on the beautiful quilts now. Keep up the amazing work.
Happy Blogaversary (and Max’s 8 week birthday)! I love your blog, there is just so much inspiration to be found here!
I just found your blog 2 weeks ago and love it–I’m so glad you share all your sewing goodness with us. Keep inspiring us with your lovely creations (especially quilts) and wonderful tutorials…I’m starting a strip quilt from scraps thanks to you!

Happy Anniversary!! Love your blog and love seeing pictures of that sweet thing of yours
He is soooo adorable!! I would take quilt tutes all day long if you want to offer them up
Take heart that while you may have let your blog anniversary slip by, you know exactly how old Max is. Priorities change once children are added our lives. Enjoy!! And, congratulations!
Your quilts inspire me to pull out my scraps and use up every one of them ….. or find a new home for them.
Oh my gosh, that quilt would look great on my bed.
Congratulations, Ashley! I have a baby boy that is 2&half weeks younger than Max, so it’s been verry inspiring and fun to see all the stuff you’ve been whipping up for him all along!
Congrats on hitting 3 years! And Max is looking more adorable every day…if that is even possible.
you do make the most lovely quilts, this is a beauty!
Happy blogiversary! And happy 8 weeks Max!
I love grey, green and purple so much that I just redid my craft room with those colors. And I adore this quilt.
Thanks for the chance to win!
love your blog, and your quilts! Thanks for being such a great resource of inspiration – you make beautiful quilts – and baby too!
i love your quilts! all of the quilt stores around here (fairbanks, ak) cater to the older generations quilt styles…it’s hard to find lots of fun fabric locally. you have to do a lot of poking around; you’re lucky to have the stores you have to make bright modern quilts!
Congrats on 3 years! it’s a real committment to block and bring up baby at the same time. thank you for sharing all you do
Thanks for your blog, your free spirit quilts, and sharing your talents with us. What you are doing here is so good for so many…thank you, thank you, thank you.
So much has happened in three years–congrats! I love your tutorials, and especially your photographs! I’m wondering if you’d consider sharing some of your photography tips and tricks with us in a future post? Thanks!
Congratulations on your 3 year anniversary!
huge congrats! i love the quilt and everything about your blog, especially the new addition of max pics!!! please don’t stop!!!
CONGRATS! It’s always nice to look back at the beginning and think about how much has changed. I love your quilts, while I am taking slow, very slow, baby steps into quilting, I enjoy reading your posts and dreaming about being able to someday make a quilt as pretty as the ones you make!
I’d love to know your secret on quilting with the new babe! We have a month old, and I am so impressed (and inspired) by your continued sewing! Awesome mom!
You’re giving away a whole QUILT?? Rockstar. Thanks for sharing your work. I like everything you post about, and also your no-nonsense writing style. I love your blog! I copied one of your quilts and snuggle up with it every night on the couch.
Your quilts are absolutely amazing. They have inspired me so much. I would love to see more tutorials as I am a beginner quilter and every bit helps!
Congrats on 3 years, I can’t believe all you get done with an 8 week old baby. Love the quilt.
Three years, you started just after me! Congrats…
It’s so much fun to see a little one grow! My son is 15 months now and has become his own little person with a feisty attitude. Enjoy your little guy!
Hi you really inspire me. I’m new in the quilting world and looking at the beautiful things you sew makes me believe that I can do so too.
I really love your fabric choices. Congratulations on the three year anniversary. Thank you for a great blog /Petra from Gothenburg, SWEDEN
Happy Blog-a-versary! Your blog is always one of my top favorites for quilt inspiration.
I love your blog. Always such beautiful inspiration. You take great pictures. ^_^ Thanks again for a wonderful inspiring blog.
Enjoy every moment with your sweet baby. They grow up sooo fast.
I feel like we’re kinda neighbours (I’m in Montreal) and I love visiting your blog. Do you know how many quilts you’ve made in three years. Just amazing how many it must be.
I so love your blog. I don’t want you to change a thing! The pictures of your quilts are the BEST. I always leave here wanting to spend time with my sewing machine. Thanks for all you do
Happy anniversary! What a generous giveaway. As far as what I want to see on the blog – you already do a great job but since you asked… more Max! I love baby photos. And maybe any hints or tips on how you manage to get sewing in with an eight week old? I have a 2 year old and a nine week old and my poor machine has not been touched. I have not even knitted – which I find a bit easier to handle than sewing with kiddos in general. heather dot nevits at gmail dot com
Your blog is truly inspirational – don’t change a thing! I found it about 5 months ago and spent a very happy evening or two reading start to finish – it’s fantastic! Thank you very much for this opportunity to win and please continue to do what you are doing so well xx
I love your blog. I’m always inspired when I stop by to check out whats new. My daughters room is purple and green, and I love this innocent crush fabric! I’d love to win one of your beautiful creations! Happy Blogiversary!
Happy anniversary! As far as seeing more of things – I would like to hear more about your process- selecting/editing fabrics, choosing a pattern, etc. Thanks!
Thanks for sharing all your ideas. Two of my most recent quilts came from ideas you shared, one is like the one you’re giving away today, and the other was the farfalle tutorial. Congrats on 3 years and Max’s birth.
I always enjoy stopping by and seeing what projects you’ve been up to. I find it very inspiring! Thanks for doing all the work…I know it’s not easy to always be posting, on top of all the sewing. Plus now you are a mom! Congrats on both…first on the birth of your gorgeous son, and also on your blogging anniversary! I hope you continue to do what you love!~Ruth
Love this quilt, it might be because I love purple! Great giveaway and happy blogiversary!
I enjoy everything you write on the blog (and especially the pictures of that gorgeous little Max). Don’t change a thing! Looking forward tot he next 3 years, and beyond
Congrats on the 3 years! Oh the things I could do with that quilt, such as take my little guy (who will be 4 months old on Tuesday the 7th) on nice picnics. I’d love to see more tutorials on the blog for making different kinds of quilts. Here’s to many more years!
Congrats! I just recently found your blog and have been loving reading all your past posts. Your quilts are beautiful and inspiring! I just gathered fabric together to make my first quilt for my lil guy’s 1st birthday….a strip quilt
I’m also in VT and it’s fun seeing your quilts pose in familiar places!
You are inspiring and have made me want to quilt. Your little son is so adorable, also!!! Congrats on both the blog anniversary and for your little guy!
I’ve been inspired by following your quilting adventures for 3 years! Your work is beautiful. Enjoy every minute with that cute Max! They grow up way too fast!
I can’t believe you are giving away a quilt!!!! Holy schmoly….I am super excited for this one!!!! And, I love innocent crush. How fun. Super-dee-duper crossing my fingers on this one. Love your blog. Its always fun to see what you are up to and doing and your little guy is adorable. Thanks for the inspiration and the giveaway. pizzadelong@yahoo.com
Congratulations! You should be very proud of all of your accomplishments–blog, sewing and family related!
Happy Blogiversary! Thank you for being such a source of inspiration!
Congrats on 3 years and here’s to many more! Love your blog. Your quilts are very inspiring. Would love to win this quilt!
Oh my what a generous giveaway. I say…more pics of Max!! I’ve always been excited about your posts because I love seeing your beautiful quilts, but seriously ever since you’ve had Max I cannot get enough! He is the cutest little boy I’ve ever seen. Your quilts are even more beautiful with your adorable little boy to model them!
I love your quilts and your style of colours that you choose for each one. (Your inspiration is helping me to make my first strip quilt for my cousins new baby) What is even better about your recent posts is that a new baby is the best accessory for photographing with your quilts. Great photos, Max is beautiful and so adorable. All the best!
CONGRATS on the blogiversary! I just wanted to say thank you for being such an inspiration. Your quilts are beautiful, and often inspire my own quiltmaking, from block designs to fabric choices. Also, your handmade clothes are lovely too, even when you think they haven’t come out right, lol. Happy 8 weeks old to Max too, what a cutie!
The only thing I think we need more of is Max!
Oh and also as much quilting as you can blog about. Your blog is really inspiring to me as a new sewer/quilter and is one of the handful that I check everyday.
Besides just wanting to see more posts – I crave pictures of all your lovely quilts on a daily basis, I would like to see you do more with the string projects. What originally drew me to your website was a string quilt you did in striking black adn white prints with a green contrast. I used it as a model for a baby quilt I did for my daughter. I’d like to see the techniques you use for making the center strips match up, and perhaps do some projects in string quilt triangles?
Congrats on your blog’s anniversary – it brightens my day to see your posts appear in the blog feed!
Happy 3rd Blogerversary!! Thanks for giving away a quilt, that is a sweet thing to do. Enjoy that sweet tiny small baby. I have a 10 mo old, and she is getting so big. Time really does fly:)
Your pattern using the Tufted Tweets fabric was the first time I bought fabric and stashed it for a future project. Once you stash you can’t go back! Thank you for the wonderful colorful inspiration.
Happy blogging anniversary and I wish you (and us
) many more to come.
I hope this is the right time to tell you that although I don’t comment much I’m a constant visitor to your blog. I love your quilts and the family photos. It would be nice to see some more of work-in-progress photos, but only if you think, you could share them, too.
Just more beautiful quilts and more cute baby!
I found your blog a couple weeks ago while searching for tutorials on strip quilts and what you can make with jelly rolls. I am 37 weeks along with my 8th and have been sewing up a storm!!! Quilts, jumpers for my 5 small daughters, duo-use skirts for me, maternity jumper, Quick Change Trousers for the baby, children’s sized feather pillows and pillowcases, diaper bag, toiletry bags, cloth napkins, newborn fitted cloth diapers, bouncy seat cover, carseat recovered and in a couple weeks my sister and I will be recovering our old glider rocker!!
LOVE the quilt!! I just got Anna Marie’s book, Handmade Beginnings, yesterday. She has such wonderful, simple and useful ideas!!
Happy 3 years bloging! I just started one last week…check it out! http://frugalsimplemama.blogspot.com/
Love following your blog — your quilts are an inspiration and Max is a living doll!
Happy 3 year anniversary! I love the fabric that you used on this quilt. It is beautiful!
Your blog is one of my everday lunch time favs…Have learned so much from you!
I’m in LOVE with that quilt! I am such an admirer of your work. And Max is so darling!
What an amazing giveaway! Happy Happy Blogiversary! I just started my sewing/quilting blog a couple weeks ago but have been running a family blog for a few years. I hope by the time I reach three years I am doing as wonderfully as you are! Your blog gives me so much inspiration and little Max is just the best eye candy ever! My boys are three and 18 months and I just adored them at that size. Thanks for the opportunity!
Happy 3 years! I still can’t believe you can find the time to sew and blog after having a baby! Seriously, wonder woman!
I am also always amazed at Max’s full head of hair!!
How has it been 3 years already? I feel like I just wrote my ‘congrats on 2 years of blogging’ comment! I know the next year will bring just as much inspiration, probably more so with Max in your life now. Isn’t it amazing how kids make you see everything differently? Congrats on 3 years and happy 2 month b-day to Max!
Congratulations on 3 years! I check your blog nearly every day. I love your quilts and your little boy is such a cutie. I’ve been meaning to make this pattern!
What a tremendous and personal giveaway – this quilt is sure to be treasured! I’m a new-ish reader of your blog, about 6 months. As a beginner I LOVE seeing quilt block explanations, it’s a wonderful resource and I thank you so much!
Whoa! Giving away a quilt!? That’s intense! Thanks for being so inspiring to all of us! Yours was one of the very first quilting blogs I followed, and you’ve inspired me on the quilting journey!
Keep up the good work!

My, that is one generous giveaway! Max is SO cute! I am loving watching him grownup! Congrats on 3 yrs!
I love seeing your WIP. I always re-browse your finished quilts. I love your straight line quilting. Love, love your quilt backs! Impressed by the fabrics you put together. Your photograghy is eyecandy. The baby tugs my heatrstrings. Did I already say you inspire me? Keep it up, you are awesome!
I found your blog about a year ago, when I found out what a blog actually was
Your quilting and sewing is what inspired me to start quilting, I am a full on addict now, running out of places to hide fabric. Would love to win one of your awesome creations, thank you for the opportunity.
A beautiful quilt and a gorgeous baby! What’s not to love?
lovely quilt, as always. Thanks for all your inspiring work!
Congrats on your 3 year anniversary!!! I love reading your blog, it is definitely one of my favorites! I’ve been sewing for as long as I can remember, in the past I’ve focused entirely on sewing clothing and also have a certificated in pattern drafting etc. But in the last 6 months I have recently become very fascinated with quilting. I find it so liberating to be able to appreciate fabric and create a functional piece of art with colour, print and design without the worry of fit! I feel like your blog really opened my eyes to the possibilities. Thank you very much for the inspiration!
I love this quilt!! So much so, that I followed the directions on the tutorial and made one myself with a bunch of fabrics I bought from Thailand. I gave it away to a friend who had a paby (born a month early). I blogged about it and linked to your tutorial and blog like a good blogger should
Thank you for being such an awesome quilter and telling us all about your journey
Your baby is gorgeous!!
Like you I am not usually fond of Purples but this is gorgeous. I love your work and have pinned several of your quilts on a ‘inspires me to try a quilt’ board at pinterest, I love the backs as much as the fronts in many cases. Congratulations on reaching three years of blogging and for sharing those years with us.
Congrats on your three year bloggiversary. And wow! Max – 8 weeks!!! How did that happen so fast??? And how in the world do you get so much accomplished? You’re Super Woman. Beautiful quilt, and the recipient is going to be thrilled!
Thanks for sharing your creativity with us here in blogland! I am so inspired by your work, especially the way you do quilt backs, it has led me on a whole quilting journey of my own. Congratulations on 3 great years, and your beautiful son. I hope your blog keeps going strong!
)
Congrats on your 3 years! Thanks for the chance to win. I too love the way the gorgeous prints contrast with the white!
I love reading your blog and it always inspires me to actually cut up my ever-growing stash of fabric rather than just hoard my favourite designs! Thanks for offering such a fab giveaway, congrats on your blogiversary!
What would I like to see different on your blog? NOTHING!! I love it just the way it is!!
Congrats! I’m amazed with what you’ve been able to accomplish in just 3 years. I love your blog. Thank you for sharing your beautiful quilts.
A quilt giveaway?! Wow! I think it’s a beautiful quilt and your blog is one of my favourites. I’ve yet to finish a quilt, so your blog is quite inspiring to me. Oh, for more time! Thank you for your blog, and thank you for the generous giveaway.

Congratulations on both of the milestones! My little man is 18 months today and very pleased with himself after immersing most of his arms and upper body into the dogs water bowl.
Good thing it’s warm out!
If you think that the last three years went by fast then watch out because time flies when you have a child. I still wonder where this little boy of mine came from and where my baby went!
Happy three years to you! And happy 8 weeks to Max! He sure is a cutey!

When I got the urge to start quilting, your blog was the first I found and I absolutely love it!! Happy 3 year anniversary, keep up the wonderful work!
More pictures of Max… that’s all I want to see, well, that and some more sewing.
Wow…that’s pretty amazing that you’re giving away a whole quilt! I’m not a purple person myself, but Innocent Crush really brought out the purple lover in me–and lots of fabrics lately are doing that. I keep wondering if it’s because I’m turning into an old woman–but you are probably too young to understand that reference!
As far as what I’d like to see…I hope to see that you are spending as much time with your little Max as you want and not worrying too much about your blog. These baby days go so quickly–although it the thick of it, it often doesn’t seem that way!
Gorgeous quilt
Congratulations on your blogoversary! I always love the colors and fabrics you quilt with.
Congratulations!!! You are definitely on my list of top favorite quilt makers, so I’m glad you’ve stuck around and will continue to make such gorgeous beauties! Thanks!
I love your website – I follow you through The Patchery Menagerie…
Green and Purple are my two favorite colors… even my engagement ring has them… Tourmaline and Amethyst. My wedding also featured green and purple.
Max is adorable… love him up all you can now – he’ll be saying, “Awww, MOM!” soon enough.
Take care.
Lisa

Love the quilt! Such a cute baby and I love his name. Wish I had been reading this last fall when I visited South Burlington, I made my brother take me to all the quilt shops we could find, but we only made it to a few, I could have used your advice on more to hit, maybe next time!

Oh my goodness! A LOT of people want to win your quilt! That says something about your taste and skill. I love reading your blog – all the bright colors and color combinations are like eye candy to me!!
My mother would think I had become the most awesomest quilter ever (mostly because I would have finished something) if she got this quilt from me. It’s lovely!
Congrats on the blog and the baby. You create beautiful things, again, both the quilt and the baby.
Happy 3rd anniversary on your blog and happy 8 weeks old little Max. Just enjoy and savour the moment with your baby. It is so precious. He will grow up in no time… All your gorgeous quilts inspired me to start quilting. Thanks for sharing!
Happy blogaversary & happy 8 weeks to Mr. M!! I love your blog just the way it is… my interests have strayed from quilting lately, so I have been slowly unsubscribing to a lot of the quilting blogs I used to read… but I just can’t let go of yours, everything you make is so pretty & your photography is so lovely.
Wow! What a great giveaway! I really enjoy reading your blog – I love seeing your quilts and tutorials. Pictures of Max are like icing on the cake
I would love to read more about what you are making for him – anything from diapers to clothes to toys. Thanks!
Congratulations on your 3 year blog anniversary! Your quilts are amazing and I have been a follower for a while now (although I can’t remember how long).
And just the thought to win one of your quilts makes me giddy! This one in particular, given that my last name is Lavender, seems fitting. Love it!
Love your blog; love your work. Your quilts always inspire me!
Whoa. A blogiversay giveaway that has stopped me in my tracks. You are too generous. I come to your blog to admire your quilts and to learn from your tutorials and process. Now that your Max is born, I also come to see him on quilts. Nothing cuter than a sweet baby on a beautiful quilt. I say keep doing what you’re doing, it’s working out very well.
what a generous giveaway! my third baby was born three weeks before Max, and I have hardly had a second to sit down and sew. i crave it. how do you do it?
Congratulations on three years and, even better, eight weeks with your little guy!! Love your blog and all of your creations
I have been seriously considering making this EXACT quilt, fabrics and all. I just love it, but making an exact replica doesn’t seem like it would be as much fun as doing my own thing, so i haven’t gotten to it yet.
BTW I love your work, but rarely comment. I came here on recommendation from a friend when I was looking for inspiration for a wedding quilt about a year ago. I love your work… thanks for sharing.
Congrats on your three year anniversary. Love your blog and Max is beautiful. I really enjoy seeing the color combinations you use in your quilts, it is inspiring me to move out of my comfort zone and try new combinations, here’s too many more years!
your blog and quilts are inspirational! congrats!
8 weeks already! Time goes by so fast.
I like your blog. Keep it the same. Quilts and quilting with real life thrown in. You’re inspiring!
I love your blog and your quilts…you inspire me!
Congrats on 3 years!! I love the colors you use in your quilts!
such a great quilt! i’ve actually been working with those same fabrics on a recent quilt project, so it’s fun to see them here. i love reading your blog, especially since my parents live in vermont, and i try to stop in at nido every time i’m in the area. congrats on three years!
what an awesome way to celebrate!
This is one of my favorite designs of quilts you have made. I think it is so pretty. Happy three years!
What a beautiful quilt – Congratulations on the birth of your beautiful baby boy!
Wow – this quilt is beautiful (and so is your baby!) Happy 3rd blogday to you
Love reading your blog, always get great ideas from you!
I was so excited when I stumbled upon your blog and realized that you live in Vermont! As a fellow Vermonter, it is so great to see familiar scenery in the pictures of your fabulous quilts and creations.
only sewing for 3 yrs, unbelievable…congratulations on all you have accomplished, don’t change a thing! love your style, charm, and grace. thanks for the chance to win without making us jump through hoops.
I love your quilting ideas and patterns and now I really love seeing your cute pictures of Max and the things you make for him.
Beautiful quilt. Beautiful boy. Congratulations on the milestones!
Happy Blog-a-versary! If you think those three years went fast, just wait and see how fast they go with Max! I enjoy checking your blog every day. Thanks for all of the great inspiration.
Congratulations on your anniversary and what a lovely giveaway! I’ve drooled over that quilt in your shop more than once and the green binding is my favorite part
I can’t get over how much hair Max has – so cute!
I’d love to win your beautiful quilt.
Love the colors in it. And happy blogiversary!
Congrats on your blogiversary!!! And it’s a gorgeous quilt! I would love to wrap myself up in it! All the best, Sarah Mulholland, Toronto, Canada.
Your son is just too cute.
I have enjoyed visiting your blog and I would be over the moon if I won this quilt.
I can’t believe you have only been quilting for 3 years!! Your quilts are beautiful and you have such a talented eye for how to place the fabrics, I would have guessed you’d been doing it much longer. I follow a lot of amazing quilt blogs but your quilts are always my favorite. I’ve been sewing since I was about 5 but have only made a few quilts…my budget just doesn’t allow for that much yardage of the good quilting fabric…but when I have made some I have a hard time visualizing how each fabric design/pattern will work in the quilt pattern. They never seem to turn out exactly as I thought they would. So I guess that is what I’d love to see…your process as to why and how you choose certain fabrics with certain quilt designs.
Thanks!!!
I like what you do now. I love fabrics and anything made of them so I’m always happy to look. Also its lovely watching Max grow, how did he get so old so fast.
Congrats on three years! I LOVE the blog and have enjoyed following for about a year now. I enjoy all your designs and fabric choices.
Congrats on 3 yrs! Its a lovely quilt and I love the binding. Thanks for sharing
I always enjoy reading your blog and seeing your amazing quilts. Thanks for sharing and Happy Blog Anniversary.
I love your blog and am amazed at all you’ve done in just 3 years! I look forward to more of the same
The quilt is lovely. I love purple and the green binding is so fun!
I love the texture your bring to your quilts. it’s amazing how the stitching complements the fabrics and the design. always inspiring.
Thanks for the generous giveaway! What I love most about this blog is your fresh, modern take on sewing. I love seeing the lovely fabrics you work with, and you have inspired me to do my very first quilt with Heather Ross’s Far, Far Away. Please keep up your inspiring work (of course, balanced with your rich life with your sweet little one). Happy anniversary!
I always enjoy seeing pictures of Max! And i enjoy ALL your quilts….love your sense of color!
Please include me in your quilt giveaway!
I found your blog a couple of months ago and drop by most evenings to see what’s new or look through your superb quilts. I have been on a fabric buying spree lately and am using some of your quilts as inspiration for my next projects (when I can get to them)! I love seeing the photos of Max!
I’ve followed your blog for almost a year and a half! I love it!
Happy blogiversary and happy 8 weeks to Max!
Congrats on 3 years! That quilt is certainly beautiful – I love the green binding too!
Happy Three Years! I love visiting your blog for inspiration so I love to see what you’ve made! In other words; keep doing what you are doing!
Jeepers – look how many comments you have! Just keep doing what you’re doing. I love your blog.
I discovered your blog about a year ago and have been following ever since…I chose purples for my 4 month old daughter’s nursery so if I win she will get a new quilt! Thank you for all the inspiration and Happy Anniversary!!
Congratulations on your three yr Anniversary. I am totally addicted to your blog. I have learned so much here. What an inspiration you are to those of us who are just starting out all the way to those experienced. There is definitely something here for everyone. I just love your quilts and have bookmarked some for future projects. Keep up the excellent blogging.

3 Years Congrats!!! I love your use of color and the creative grouping of your blocks. Your artistry is truly endless. Congrats again.
WOW! What a fantastic giveaway! Honestly, I love your blog so I’d say do more of what you are already doing. BUT, I do find your posts about making your own clothing items extra inspiring! You’ve given me the gumption to try making some clothes of my own! Thanks and Happy Blogoversary!
Congrats Ashley! I can’t tell you what an inspiration your blog has been for me. I am a fabric addict, but I’m slowly whittling down my stash by actually making things now!
I’ve been enjoying your blog for much of the last year. I find that I like how your quilts are pretty because you let the fabric be pretty. I am drawn to simple styles and so much of what you make is simple but beautiful. I have a 7 week old, so I enjoy seeing how Max is doing (he’s got such a nice head of hair compared to my boy!). What I think I’d like seeing more of is: when you choose fabrics/layouts for quilts, show us what you auditioned and what you ended up with and then try to explain why you did/didn’t choose the different options. Thanks for the giveaway and many congrats on the 3 years.
I love your quilts. Your blog inspired me to make my very first quilt. I have now made two quilts, one for each of my boys.
Congrats on 3 awesome years and congrats baby Max! He is a doll!
You are the most prolific quilter I “know.” You are such an inspiration and I thank you wholeheartedly for that!
Congrats on your blog anniversary!!
Love your blog!! Thanks for all of the inspiration to quilt!
Beautiful quilt! nice way to remember your three-year anniversary.
i would love to see more pictures of that handsome little guy!
Wow!! 600 comments!!! That is all I got. Amazing. Can’t say as I’ve ever seen that many. Congrats on 3 years and your beautiful Max!
Wow! 600 responses already! I love to visit and see what you’re working on. The pictures of your family and garden are all eye candy. Your color and pattern selection are always beautiful. Thanks.
Max is gorgeous! (And so is the quilt!)
Happy Anniversary! Reading this blog entry made me think about my own blogging/sewing experiences and how (like you) they’ve sorta grown simultaneously. I just love the online sewing communities! I love reading/seeing what other people are doing, and I love sharing, too. Stop by if you have a chance. I just finished a quilt for my sister’s wedding, and I’ll be posting pictures by the end of the weekend. It’s my 3rd quilt (ever) so I can truly appreciate how much love and care must have gone into the quilt that you are just *gasp* gifting to one of your readers. So amazing! (I would SO love to win).
Thanks!!
Your work is fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
Your blog is one of my favorites. There is always something fresh that is inspiring and fun. Happy anniversary on your blog. I hope you enjoy blogging for many years to come because your fans do enjoy reading it!
Yours was the first blog I started to follow once I started quilting. Such an inspiration! Thanks for always sharing!!!
Congrats to you Ashley on your 3rd year anniversary(and of course Max’s too!). I’ve been following your blog since the beginning and you have truly inspired me to be more creative and to celebrate my love for quilting, sewing and knitting! Thank you for your dedication to your blog!
My 3 year old would love this quilt as her favourite colour is purple!
jodym7@yahoo.com
Ohhhhh I love all your work! I can’t believe that you find time to sew since Max’s arrival! I’d love to have a chance for your quilt or even replicate it!
what an incredible giveaway! congratulations on your blog anniversary. I have been so impressed with your use of color–how you are not afraid to try combinations that at first glance may seem wonky.
Blessings to little max. glad to see he is growing bigger and stronger everyday. cant wait to see photos of him doing ‘baby pushups’ on his tummy; those are my favorite pictures
What a wonderful three years!
I love seeing what new fabrics you find.
Congrats on all your milestones and especially MAX. He is adorable! What a terrific give away! If I won, I think I would cry!
Love your blog!!
I love your blog and your quilts.
Happy 8-weeks, Max! My baby looks so bald compared to you!
I hope you’re sleeping thru the night for your Mama!
Congratulations on three years of blogging! I love your modern quilts and the tutorials that you do, and the photography is always creative. And Max is adorable! Don’t change a thing–just keep up the great work! Thanks!
You have made so many quilts in three years! I discovered your blog by accident when searching for images/tutorials of string quilts this past December. It looked easy enough so, after collecting enough fabric (it was my first quilt so I didn’t have scraps, or even a stash built up, but I am working on it!) I started. I am done with everything but the binding, which I plan to have my grandmother teach me how to do, just for the experience.
I am slightly ashamed to admit that I became a little obsessed and have read through your entire blog. I truly hope you are flattered rather than creeped out by that fact. You color combinations and quilt patterns inspire me. I love how modern and bright they are! I am now working on my second quilt that is inspired by one of yours. I would LOOOOVE to have one of your quilts to go along with my slowly growing collection. I have never won anything before, but I figured it would be worth a shot.
what a gorgeous quilt. love it!!
Congratulations on 3 years! I’m new to quilting, and your blog has been a true inspiration. I look forward to every new post!
I love the modern designs that you choose for your quilts! Thanks for giving me fresh ideas for my future projects.
I was amazed how much you accomplished not only while you were pregnant, but now that he is here! I have always been told that you should start before you ever get pregnant cause there is no hope after they arrive. Congrats on the blogiversary. I hope the next year is just as sweet and you find inspiration and challenges to keep things interesting!
I love your blog. Thanks for all the creative ideas. Yes, I would love to win the beautiful quilt!! Continue to make memories with Max. Memories and traditions are what draw children home once they have grown up and are on their own!!!
Woo Hoo! Three years…..keep going, Ashley! I love it when you demonstrate your creative process….Congratulations!
Max is so adorable and I love seeing him “model” your quilts. Thanks for all the inspiration.
I enjoy seeing your process in action – going from a stack of fabrics you’ve selected, to seeing blocks, and eventually the whole quilt. I like the discussion of how you’re intending to quilt it, or how you decided against including a particular block. Congratulations on 3 years, you must look back on that time and find satisfaction in works completed, styles identified, and the increasing confidence to go from fabric and ideas to finished works. Well done, thanks for sharing all that, and yay to little Max’s first 8 weeks.
Congrats on your anniversary! I love you blog and your quilts. I’d love to see more quilts and more clothing that you’ve sewn. I’m trying to sew more of my own clothes and love getting inspiration from you.
Happy anniversary! I would love to see a break down in your quilt planning process. I love your quilts and would like to know more about how you select fabrics and create your designs. And more Max! He’s the perfect model

I think Max is adorable. I also named my baby Max; he just turned a year and it went by so fast! It surprised me when this post said he is now 8 weeks. Seems like yesterday he was born…
Happy 3rd Year Blog-iversary! Your blog was one of the first ones I started reading when I learned to quilt about 2 years ago. Thanks for all the inspiration.
Congrats on 3 years Ash!!! I love your reading about your quilts and seeing pictures of handsome Max! Miss ya!
Congratulations on three years and your new beautiful boy.
Your little Max is the cutest. happy 8 weeks Max. love anything with AM fabric and your quilt is great. Congratulations on 3 years. Love this blog.
I love your blog – and I love the quilts you’ve made. Your ideas keep flowing and it’s fun to use them and step out with your quilts as a trigger to make something myself. This quilt is one I marked when you first posted it — I’d love to win it! Thanks for a fun give-away!
You have a wonderful blog and a wonderful baby! Congratulations!
Happy Blogiversary!! Great day, too; June 1st is my wedding anniversary (we just celebrated 9 years). Yay for 3 years! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog since I was introduced to it nearly 2 years ago. I echo everyone else: you’re such an inspiration, Ashley! Looking forward to many more years of your blog (and I would about die to win your quilt)! Congrats again!!
Congrats! It looks like your Max is exactly two weeks younger than my Lucy. Isn’t motherhood great?!?!
What I love about your blog is that it’s a nice mix of sewing & quilting, includes tutorials, pictures, and personal anecdotes. A lot of other bloggers haven’t managed to achieve the balance you’ve so wonderfully crafted here. Congratulations on three years and I hope you can keep up many more! Oh, and… hi Max!
Love the quilt!

. Congratulations on your 3 years and on the 8 weeks.
Congrats on the three year mark and Max turning 8 weeks old. He’s a cutie. It seems not too long ago that mine were that tiny – now they’re 13-1/2 and 15! Time flies by so fast. Thanks for the awesome giveaway. Best wishes for you and yours!
I applaud your organizational skills! You are juggling quite a few balls in the air! Your blog has given me more than one creative jumpstart over the past year, so thank you very much. Imay have to join the blogosphere soon! Congrats on three years and baby Max.

Love your blog. I am drawn to fabrics with larger-scale prints and would love to see more ideas like the Strip Quilt Tutorial that allow me to show off larger swathes of fabrics. Congrats on your blogiversary!
Happy 3rd anniversary of blogging, happy 8-weeks-birthday, Max, and WOW! I would love to win that quilt. Your blog is great — keep on doing what you’ve been doing.
I have only recently found your blog through a recommendation of a friend. I am using your Strip Quilt Tutorial as the basis for my first quilt(and first large scale sewing project), so thank you in advance for the inspiration!
Max is darling! Enjoy these first few years; they go by so fast. I remember when my two were 8 weeks old and now they are 8 and 11, respectively.
Love your site, quilts are beautiful and inspirational. In fact, I made two of these, but gave them both away, would love one for me, esp with that fabric. Enjoy Max, each moment, the grow so fast!
I loved that quilt when you first made it, and if I win it will be my studying quilt when I start my PhD program next year. Your blog is wonderful. More photos of your beautiful baby are always welcome!

Love the quilt, of course. I think I’ve been following you for 2 years, and it’s been fun watching you evolve, blogger-wise. I love all the tutorials and patterns, and I love, love, love seeing pics of Max! It was nice seeing a picture of Morgan, too. I would like to see more of your handsome men. I’m “organizing” my stash right now, but have several quilts in the just-past-planning stage. Keeping my fingers crossed that I win.

I have enjoyed your website so much as i have started my own quilting journey.
great quilt. thank you for the give away.
Gorgeous quilt, but Max is much, much cuter! My new little one, Eric, is eight weeks on Tuesday. We’ve nicknamed him “Captain,” since he’s calling the shots around here. I’ve become a specialist at typing with one hand, but I’ve not yet got back to quilting. Hopefully soon!
I LOVE YOUR SITE!! Please keep up all the wonderful quiltmaking!!!
I love your blog and read it often. I’m amazed at the amount of work you get done. I’d love to win this quilt. It is beautiful.

Happy blogiversary to you and happy 8 week birthday to Max!

Congratulations on 3 years of blogging. Yours was one of the first blogs I began reading. I used your strip quilt tutorial to make one. Max is cuter than cute, and there is so much work in taking care of a babe. Thanks for the giveaway as would be proud to own one of your creations. mlwright29(at)hotmail(dot)com

I love your blog, especially the wonderfully written tutorials are very inspiring.
I have quite a few left overs from Soul Blossoms FQ bundle and want to make this quilt with that!
But I always stack my quilt wishes …
First I have to make one for my daughter, who wants a blue one, because she’s in the Navy!
So no suggestions from me as to how you should blog: I like it as it is, very much!
And what a GREAT BIG giveaway!
Thanks!
Wowee! What a neat giveaway. I am amazed how much you get done. Your quilts are inspirational. I like their simpleness and therefore ability to quickly sew. Your photos are great too especially with your new “prop” aka Max! Thanks for the chance to win.
Wow, 3 years! You have inspired me to experiment with quilting- and I love the colors and patterns you choose! Keep it coming! Max will grow up seeing his Mama doing something she loves and that will stick with him his entire life. And, he’ll always have a snuggly quilt! Thanks and congratulations!

Congratulations on 3 blogging years. The quilt is beautiful and I would love to win it, though I don’t have someone as cute as Max to cuddle with, so my husband would have to do.

Thanks
Dolores
Oh!!! I would just love this for my 6 month old daughter!!!
Finding your blog several months ago is what pushed me into finally making my first quilt. Since April, I have completed 3 quilts and hope to keep the ball rolling for the next 50 years. While not many of my mid-20 yr old friends “get” my new hobby, they all love the outcome. I gift my quilts, so spoiling myself with one from you would be awesome.
Here’s to the next anniversary! xoxo
I loved this quilt when you first posted it. Your blog is just amazing. I really want to make a quilt for my girls’ bed, but am still too chicken to try for fear of wasting the fabric. I do love seeing all you dream up for your quilts.
Your quilts are so colorful and fun.
Congrats on 3 years! It has been so enjoyable reading about all your crafting adventures! Here’s to another 3 years!
It’s so fun and inspiring seeing the great quilts you make! And Max is so sweet. Thanks for sharing with us these past three years

Now I am being inspired by a whole group of you lovely young women who get more done in a day than I have ever dreamed of….thank-you for sharing what you know with us. I love the white quilts with the colored squares……so sweet….it would look splendid in my room.

ana.sontag@gmail.com
Congrats on 3yrs and of course on the fisrt 8 weeks with the cutie Max. He is the best quilt photo accessory yet
Milestones, indeed! Congrats. I love the photos on your blog. Your quilts are so colorful and ‘fresh’. I’d love to read our thoughts on your process of color selection. I think the quilts I’ve done (only 4) have looked good because I’ve chosen coordinating fabrics from one line…would like to take it to the next step and make choices myself and I’m just not sure how to go about this. Does it come easy to you? Do you look at a color wheel? Do you pay attention to hue and value? Hmm… So much to learn
Congrats on 3 years! It’s amazing what you’ve done in such a short time! Your quilts are beautiful and I always find inspiration in your work. I even have a Rectangled Squared quilt in progress now! And many congratulations on your beautiful little guy. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us next!
What a beautiful quilt! Innocent Crush is one of my favorites, and it also helped me embrace purple in my sewing. Congratulations on the two BIG milestones!
