I’ve been making blocks for this new baby quilt. I think it’s fun and a bit funky – a little play on green and pink, though changing it up a bit by using raspberry and lime.

The colors for this quilt came from the fabric which I’ve used as the center of each block. It’s a Robert Kaufman print… from the Hot Couturier line, I believe (correct me if I’m wrong!). I only had two fat quarters of it, so I decided to design the quilt around that focus fabric, pulling in other lime, pink and brown prints.

It will all be sashed in white, which should brighten it all up and make these colors really pop. If I weren’t such a slacker, I’d have it done by now. Instead you’ll just have to imagine it sashed in white!

making progress?
it makes me happy…
